SGFC in closet? 1

I was wondering if my SGFC will still get enough FAE if I place it in a closet with the door shut? I was going to keep it there because I have a heater in the room and I didnt want the heat to escape.

Shouldn't be too much of an issue, how small is the closet? You ought to look into monos or shoeboxes SGFC is primitive

What are the temps with contra without the heater?
And yes there will be enough FAE, heat and water wapor generated by the substrates both contribute to air movement, warmer air rises cause its lighter than colder air and water wapor rises regardless cause its lighter than air. Also assuming you have artificial lighting near by that generates heat also contributes to air circulation. Tho it's worth remembering that SGFC manual says to keep the setup in a ventilated area like a room, where it will be exposed to a lot more moving air. But with that said I will still go ahead and tell you that you will have enough FAE with the SGFC inside a closet cause I've fruited 8 tubs so far inside closets that were so small they fit exactly two Shoeboxes (and also Shoeboxes have a lot less FAE openings compared to a SGFC) I didn't notice much difference. But I wouldnt recommend to anyone to fruit inside a closet if there were options to keep the FC in a more open area

That's a weird statement. You're criticizing a fruiting chamber and comparing it to a method of growing, two completely different things. .. I guess you were trying to say that growing cakes is an outdated method of growing and that is highly debatable to say the least. Not only are cakes extremely efficient at producing compared to the amount of nutrient mass they require but they're very reliable when inoculated with spore solution and also require the least amount of equipment to cultivate successfully. Growers may have differing opinions about which fruiting setup is the most effective/reliable but PF Tek growing method using cakes is anything but primitive.

Thanks so much for all of the information!! It is extremely helpful, the temp without the heater is around 20 degrees which isnt too bad I think? I just wanted to keep it at a nice 24 degrees though. Also it seems like the method of fruiting is just up to preference lol, it was my first time growing so I just followed a pf tek guide on here :-)
