ID request in PNW
    #26749836 - 06/16/20 06:55 PM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Hi

Hoping I can get some help on identifying these? My first guess was something in the Cortinarius genus, but I could be miles off.

British Columbia, Canada.
Gills very pale brown to a desaturated rusty reddish brown when dry.
Stem quite short, couldn't see a ring.
Spore print rusty yellow brown.
Growing in lawn on side of path underneath/near what I think is a cedar hedge.

P.S. sorry my phone auto sets camera mode to boost saturation & colour. Turned it off in some pics, so apologies for colour discrepancy.

I'd Say Agrocybe Sp.

Oh that's a good consideration. Thanks! Another possibility is Inocybe Sp. Crazy how many similarities there are between species.
