All-in-One Grain/Substrate Bag question

I just inoculated an all-in-one grain/substrate bag yesterday and it seems that there may be a couple of different approaches to the initial step of establishing the mycelium on the grain.
I saw one instruction set that indicated that one should fold the bag over during this step, another indicated that the bag should not be folded over so that air can more freely get in through the filter patch.
What is the right way to go during this phase?
Also: I don't have any sort of "heater" near the bag to maintain a temp ~80degF. Will the mycelium still establish in the grain even if the temp is down around room temp (~70-72degF)?

If your goal is to grow mushrooms with any level of repeatable success and understanding, that “all-in-one” is your enemy. There are multiple encyclopedias worth of knowledge here that contain everything you need to know to get started. They are your friends.
If your goal is to punch the ground in the hopes of striking oil, best of luck.

Spores to grain bags is a very ham fisted way to grow. It can work but it’s prone to many vectors of failure. You don’t need the temp to be in the 80’s, that’s actually too high. Anything in the 70’s is fine.

Hey thanks for the useful information! Yeah, I actually purchased the material necessary to do a monotub but it was on backorder and I wanted to try out a couple of different methods. The all-in-one was only one of those methods. But unlike you I am actually just starting out.

I was you once upon a time. I remember wanting to try kits and premade things. It’s a waste of time.

Yes they definetly seem like an easy route to take and for experimentation sake go for it but there are lots of other methods out there that are much more successful
