The Shroomery Is No Substitute For Experience
    #2674934 - 05/13/04 05:46 PM (19 years, 8 months ago)

Greetings fellow hunters

Ever since I have started at the Shroomery, I have visited the hunting forum. I hunt cubes in Louisiana. You may have seen me help others or post about my own findings.

The reason I am able to help others as well as post finds is that ive hunted shrooms for years. The fields I visit are scouted very carefully. I have found out...
-where the farmer lives
-how often he is out in the field
-where in the field the shrooms are more concentrated
-how to look for shrooms
-where to park without getting caught
-where to run in case of emergency
-the best entrances/exits to the field

I did not find these out by asking on the Shroomery. I found these out by spending time in the fields. I go during daytime as well as night to scout the area and get a general feel for whats going on. This is the only way you can find wild mushrooms. Its not an easy process. Not every field has active mushrooms. I have scouted more fields than I care to count. Because of this hard work and dedication, I have been able to find shrooms for years past and will continue to do so for years to come.

This does not only apply to cubes in cowfields in southeastern USA. This also applies to cyans in PNW when hunting various wooded areas as well as areas where liberty caps grow. In most cases, you dont have permission so proper scouting of the area is necessary.

If your just out for a quick high and want to find a million in the first foot of the first field, your going to be very disappointed. Grow your own for an easy high. If your genuinely interested in finding thes precious gold nuggets, itll take a lot of work and a little luck.

Cheers, B2G

yes, i do realize that. i have permission for most of my fields and the others, the farmers really dont care. theyve seen us in the fields and dont care.

im just peeved at the number of people asking stupid questions as though we here on the internet can help. theres little we can do besides help with i.d.'s. each field is different so we cant really help with "how do i not get caught" or "where are the shrooms in the field".

I saw these from a sidewalk. Look at them. There are 28 of these lawns around the condominium building. image how many shrooms there are without leaveing the area, that is, having to go to a pasture or the rainforest. You may look all of your life and find nothing and then whammo, there they are. Right in front of your very eyes all of the time. They were just waiting for you to wake up. If you listen carefully, you can here them calling your name.

And some of the other lawns around the building

Like the others said, that's not exactly true. Cyans for the most part grow in public areas which can be accessed by not breaking any trespassing laws. They don't grow in the wooded areas, for the most part, just public parks and other areas which are furnished with the necessary mulch. And the Stunzii MJ posted can grow inches from a sidewalk.
But as far as field mushrooms go, which includes the libs, I agree. You should have a good idea of what you're doing before you go tromping around breaking the law.

Peace - @cro
