Macrogonus: What is up with this thing?
    #26748809 - 06/16/20 12:03 PM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Can anyone tell me what’s going on here? Or at least what I need to do to save it? It was labeled as a Macrogonus if that helps any. Id really like to save it if possible. Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

Looks like maybe you got some root rot
Try gently removing it from soil mix and checking out the root system.
I think you will find your problem is down there.
You may be able to save piece by removing lower bad area and letting it  form new roots before replanting in a better well draining mix.
Would be nice if someone else can chime in....I may be wrong...good luck..I hope you can save her.

Shit ok I was kinda worried about that. I’ll probably end up killing it if I mess with it. I have terrible luck with this stuff lol

Do you ever water it? The soil looks really dry, and terra cotta isn't the best for trichocereus...because it makes the soil dry out faster.

My bet is that it is extremely dehydrated. Trichs can take a lot of water when they are actively growing.

Yeah, looks completly dehydrated, almost dried out. Still green though. Water it immediately if it's still alive.

Yeah I actually have watered it a good bit and it’s been raining a lot here as well. You can see a couple more in the back ground of one of the pics that are doing great in the exact same conditions. I’ll try to add a little more water to this one though and see if that helps.
