My henbane cutting has finally Set out roots. I used a plug to Grow it in.

Success!!!
And all the reports I have read Say that you can’t grow henbane From cuttings. Well guess what. I have proved them wrong. You see, experimenting does Really work. 👨🔬

Never listen to what "they" say! I have proven all kinds of set in stone myths that people tell you about what plants wont and can do wrong, and if someone says it can't be done, just try to prove them wrong, and see for your own self

Here is my other henbane plant. Does anybody know the species? Because it doesn’t look like your Regular henbane.

Isnt the problem with henbane and cuttings just the fact it´s a one year plant and it needs to be grown new from seed every spring? So cuttings dont have so much time to get big unless you live with very favorable growing conditions. Your henbane looks very nice and good job with the cuttings. I also have a henbane grown from seed in a pot then recently i put it in the ground in the garden. It looks like yours with the yellow flowers.
There is another variant, Hyoscyamus muticus, the Egyptian henbane. It has higher levels of scopolamine. But both the ordinary European and the Egyptian henbane are strongly poisonous. They can be used as fish poisons when fishing. The witches used crushed seeds to make a cream that they rub on the inside of their legs and got visions and euphoria. They say its very easy to overdose witch can lead to death. Nice plant, i like mine a lot.

Good to know your still About Mateo. Haven’t seen You post in awhile. Yeah. I have 2 different Species. Even the leafs Appear different. But I stupidly Uprooted my hyoscamus Niger and it is wilting and Dying so I quickly made some Cuttings to save what I could. So the future generations of this Plant can live on!
By the way mateo, 2 of my daturas Are growing still, they are still Only seedlings but they have Their first set of leafs. Very happy with my progress This year. All in all I probably Have over 30 plants from the Solancae family. Ain’t I lucky.

Yeah, I think the yellow flower one is different too. I had some henbane show up in my yard a few years back, and I let a little re-seed every year . It produces an incredible amount of seeds.
Its weird, with the way it showed up from seemingly nowhere. I sometimes feel like it's calling me to use it somehow. I'm definitely intimidated by the tropane alkaloid plants. I ate some Datura seeds a long time ago...it wasn't the best experience even though mild.
Here's the ones in the yard this year...

Henbane seeds can lie in the ground for like 100eds of years and then sprout when the soil has been turned over. When they built new houses where a old monk monastery had been long ago there started to grow henbane all over the place because they shifted the soil around when building the houses.
This year i also have sown some jimsonweed (Datura stramonium) and a deadly nightshade (Atropa belladonna). But the Atropa belladonna is still quite small and were attacked by snails. It will pull through im sure as long no more snails get to it. Maybe i have to put a ring of copper tape around it. Copper tape seems to work, i have put it around 2 poppy grow boxes and havent had one snail in there. I usually have big problems with snails on the poppys, but not this year I tried to sow some Brugmansia suaveolens and Brugmansia sanguinea but they never sprouted, it was old seeds maybe too old.

Nice! I've never had luck growing belladonna, tried a few times. Have a couple nice looking Datura Innoxia going this year, I bought them as little plants though. One year they re-seeded and popped up everywhere. The bees absolutely love Datura.
