My Camera Died 1

Just lost my Samsung ST60 in the rain. Had a ten year run with him, and we had some good times together. A very good camera for something cheap.

These shots were actually from 3 years of action.
You dont need a great camera to take some nice shots. Hope you enjoyed! If you have any advice or experience with mushroom photography, please share.

Nothing to be sorry about, the money spent on it was put to good use i think. And now i know unless you buy a waterproof camera, your camera probably isnt waterproof.

My condolances. You sure got some outstanding pictures with it, though.

Samsung cameras are built to last though! I have an old cheap one that I spent $50 bucks on, and it's still going strong after five years!

Thank you! Thats always my numero uno priority, to take the best shots i can. It was just a point and shot cam, and if you have a steady hand and have a 'gist' of the auto-focus you can take some nice shots. I hope to influence people to pay more attention to their mush photograhpy with this thread.

I would definitely reccomend Samsung for people not interested in photography wanting to take nice shots. Unfortunately they stopped making cameras 5 years ago, so you got one on the tail end of their Digi cam career. Just dont take it out in heavy rain and it should serve you well!

I don’t use any quality camera or special lighting techniques..
Though the three most helpful things I find with taking photos with an average modern day phone camera; Is to hold the phone upside down when taking close up photos provided the phone adjusts the frame angle automatically, you can have a much greater range with more vantage points and angles to work with. Especially closer to ground level. It also makes for a nicer photo to remove any small visible obstruction like blades of grass or small twigs. It may not be very noticeable with the eyes alone. But on photos they tend to stand out much more. Finally it’s always helpful to take multiple photos. Later you can pick out the ones that are most in focus and which have the best lighting.
