Alternative for isopropyl alcohol?

Still can't find 70% isopropyl alcohol anywhere. I'm wondering what's a good alternative for this hobby? I've never had such an issue with contamination in my life and I'm really angry about it lol. I'm using what little hand sanitizer I have left and it's just not cutting it.

For sanitizing, Walmart sells a brand called Microban, spray and leave on wet. will kill bacterias and virus for a full 24 hours.
For skin use, walmart sells alcohol prep pads, they will not be sold out. go to the bandaid aisle. they are 70% and contain enough for wipe downs.
For skin use, hydrogen peroxide can be a last resort, just scrub really well.

Walmart.com has 70% iso 2x32oz for under $4:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/2-Pack-Equate-70-Isopropyl-Alcohol-32-Oz/706238851?selected=true
It's in stock now and has been in and out of stock for the last two weeks. If its out when you check, it will probably be back soon.

You don't need iso or any sanitizers to grow mushrooms anyway.

What do you mean? I've always followed the "wipe everything down with iso" motto and had very little issues.

This is how alcohol, bleach, salt, H2O2, and baking soda kill microbes!

Everclear diluted to 70% works great. Iv been using pure 100% non-denatured ethanol diluted to 70% recently. I had to order it online but works great.

I never thought to check ebay. Generally when I've checked online, most stores either don't ship that item or were out of stock. I'm really surprised that Walmart had it online and available to ship. Thanks for the help all. Hopefully things run a bit smoother. I'm still curious to know why you don't need alcohol or a sanitizer for this hobby. I suppose proper sterile technique without alcohol but everyone recommends a wipe down with it and I trust that lol.

If you have your sterile technique down, you dont need alcohol. But its nice to have around to sanitize things.
eBay's got everything you can think of. Well, except the illicit stuff of course. But thats for a different forum

Why does this feel like watching a war crime? I felt bad for all the bacteria.

Bleach diluted to 10% should work just fine and is highly cost effective.
