tissue cloning question

I am hoping to get this simple question by a grower who has been through the process before.. recently I have made different LC's for various strains of cubes and am trying to dial in some consistent results.
Most of my LC's are started with a multi-spore, transferred and isolated don a few generations of agar dishes- so as far as I understand they will most likely have more genetic diversity than a tissue clone would.
this big guy popped up ( on my first flush! ) from one of my batches of LC ...

Thinking of transferring a bit of tissue to agar - and then making an LC from it -
This question has probably been asked may times though searching though the threads - I couldn't find a definitive answer. The big question is in your experience will I get fruits that resemble the one pictured.
A nice big canopy of huge ones like this would be ideal
...kind of suspect it's not that easy - but wondering if I should try to create LC's that are derived from tissue - or stick to multi-spore.
thanks!

You must find the mono cultures. There are still many substrains within one mushroom. Yes you can see fruits like that one again but there is no sure bet on that. Poke and hopes are good to get things isolated just poke a spot with small needle then poke another plate this method saves many transfers when trying to isolate down. Yes a whole tub of one fruit would be nice especially that guy great job man!! I'm getting closer just keep isolating and testing.

It’s more likely to see some like the original but not guaranteed.

nice - thanks for the tips + advice. The biopsy/needle type technique sounds like a good idea. If a big one I'm happy with pops up again I'm happy with - maybe I'll do a spore print and try to grow out several tiny samples on agar.

Yeah your more likely to get a few big ones that a canopy of big ones. It all has to to with BE. The most likely idea would be to clone him and then fruit his spore generation and then isolate from the first print Dow till you can get a canopy of big ass shrooms.
But again BE and Fruiting conditions are the two things to dial in to get that result.

this is some great advice, thank you. I think I finally got my growing conditions consistent, though the temp may vary by about 10 degrees or so ( 70f - 80f ) though I try and keep em at around 75f. I have a plan to move forward now!
- one more question if anyone knows...
assuming I create a bunch of isolated strains on agar --
then grow them out, and I succeed in growing exclusively big fruits --
could I then do a print on (any) of those and make a print, (even better make an LC) and use it to get consistently big shrooms?

I like the needle idea also. You can however use your scalpel to peel the outer layer then take a chunk of that to agar. In my early days I even peeled large sections of a big guys stem and dunked it in hydrogen peroxide to disinfect then cut into chunks right in a grain jar. And before anyone lights me up I know that shit is out dated and risky AF. However doing that with several desirable fruits in successive grows I ended up with a albino Z isolate. I then refined that on agar and had a solid producer. Good luck the fruits you desire are there if you are willing to do the work. And as always keep us posted on your progress!!

Prints reset the genetics but I think it would slightly more prone to big shrooms. I’m not sure though the genetic stuff is so confusing sometimes.
My favorite random wtf thing is how crosses don’t show up until the second generation from spore.
