Contam? Extreme blue on cakes?

Hi everybody! I'm currently on my second grow, and have encountered quite the ugly little shroom. I'm unsure if it is a contam or if it's just got some kind of abnormality? Additionally, several of my cakes are EXTREMELY blue. Any ideas as to why this might be? I have only handled them once birthing and then rolling. Nothing really smells, "off" or anything, so I'm hoping the cakes are fine, just not sure why they're so blue and not fading at all. Any advice is appreciated!

That mushroom is fine, just a little bit o' mutation.
Ive noticed cakes blueing a lot in the SGFC. I don't really know if its even a bad thing cuz when i did some cakes i misted them often to try to combat that but they just kinda kept it up and still produced great flushes for a cake. I looked at it almost like the mushrooms were growing and sucking out the water and putting some kind of stress on the mycelium that causes that. Not sure about the blue one that only seems to have that lil abort on it, has it produced mushrooms yet?
I'm trying shoe boxes now which are smaller respond more rapidly to changes than monos, i've had a few get to blueing as well but it didn't seem to hurt.
As long as you're misting when they're dry and keeping the myc from matting and dying they should be fine I think. I've only done a few cake grows though so maybe i'm off. Mateah seems to pop up when someone has cakes turning blue and he grows a lot of them and they do real well

Good to hear! I was kind of figuring it was just a mutation but wanted to get a second opinion. Yeah, most of my cakes are really blue and I've been misting regularly. The blue one with the abort on it was just harvested a few seconds prior, so that's why there were no other mushrooms to see on it. It produced a pretty decent flush, actually. The flush from this grow so far seems like it's going to have a much higher yield than my first grow for whatever reason. I definitely want to move onto a monotub at some point in the future. The time investment just isn't worth it for the yields on BRF cakes, imo. Thanks for your input!

I started the shoe boxes due to space where im at now but i'm really liking them so far. This run I followed Shaperdreaming's methodology with no personal twists to see what's up. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26009662 This is at 6 days. Basically colonized and popping up through the top layer and there's 7 shoe boxes in about the same space as a decent sized SGFC. You add in the extra time and effort for germinating on agar, transfering, etc but once you have plates and grain going you can stay on a roll for as long as you can handle it, all the while pulling 1-3 Oz for about the same amount of work as a 10g producing cake (off the top rough shroom math I'd definitely get your petris ordered man it's really enthralling stuff.
