If I were an artist. A monument to the memory of...

In light of the recent fad for destoying old monuments, maybe it is time to erect some to the memory of the innocent enslaved Africans from those passed centuries. A symbol to all those who lost their dignity, and their ancestral names, who were shipped around the world to be 'farmed' like animals, to have the offspring of generations born into captivity.
I'm no artist but my monument would depict two ebony figures kneeling, in chains. A male and female in memory of their horrifying use as farmed animals. Behind them a depiction of Mansa Musa -the richest man to have ever lived, even to this day noone has surpassed his wealth- to represent all slave kidnappers, it was his descendents that would have carried on trading in slaves centuries later with the likes of Colsten, who should also be depicted alongside Mesa Musa to represent all slave owners.

To represent all Slave kidnappers, standing behind.
My appologies. This is the best I could do with my available web skills. Feel free to use your imagination.

I suspected you were going to be a dick about it. You lived up to my expectations.

You are trying to make slavery appear a black-on-black thing on US soil.
I'm not going to spoonfeed you common sense when you are trolling.
Instead, go built a holocaust monument featuring two emaciated kneeling Jews in concentration camp outfits with behind them a member of the Rothschild family which Hitler was so angry about.
Its equally offensive.

I am absolutely saying nothing about black on black in America. This is nothing to do with it, Nor is your playing the 'Hitler card' reasonable.
I meant no offence Asante. In fact am bemused by your "I suspected you were going to be a dick about it. You lived up to my expectations" jibe. Like I am some renowned troll! I am dissapointed. I made this thread in good faith.
This week The news of the statue of the colston statue being dumped into the river coincided with the 'beeb' broadcasting the programme that I edited into my post, that inspired the thought.
There has been a lot of talk this week about the need to learn from history, and most of the country, and many of the protesters, would not have heard of Colston before this, just as they would not have heard of Mansa Musa. Is it your opinion that we should whitewash this history? to fit better some narrative that whitey is all bad.
I welcome opinions and responses that don't allude to Hitler if at all posible.

How about we abolish pride.
That'll do it.

Did you listen to the 15 min broadcast I provided?
Mansa Musa amassed so much wealth via trade in spices and gold (no doubt mined by slaves) and the slave trade, that, through his "generosity once devalued gold in Cairo".
Mansa (king) Musas' decendents would have been the same people that Edward Colston et al would be buying slaves from. I was inspired by this, and the recent dumping of Colston's (a slave owner) statue into the river, to this idea of juxtaposing the slaves knelt before the feet of the "kidnapper" musa, and the owner of slaves, Colston, in a memorial to the 'unnamed enslaved'. No slight was intended.
Hear's an aside that I'm sure Asante will wish to rebuke me with more talk of Hitler. Without slavery the world would be bereft of a huge swathe of music: from blues and jaz to rap and gospel. Where's that 'persuade me otherwise' graem.
