That's the one thing I envy about the US, being able to go to all these far-reaching tropical places and be in the same country. The idea of inviting some little Caribbean island nation to merge into Canada has been tossed around but it never comes together.

Man that would be awesome. Why can't we have just one? Fuckin bullshit!

Costa Rica is not a United States territory. It is a sovereign nation in Central America, bordered on the north by Nicaragua, and bordered on the south by Panama.

Beers (bud) were 50 cents, cigs 50 cents a pack (marlboro), food/drink was really cheap etc...There was also a totally nude beach there. A giy from Nicaragua dragged a cooler with fresh caught fish, beer, and sodas over to it. He started a fire using jungle wood and would cook a fresh fillet right there on the beach for you, with rice, and a beer for about 10 bucks. I relaxed in a hammock naked and was served that, smoked a joint afterwards and then body surfed on 10 foot waves naked, it was a pretty epic trip for me.

Maybe he was thinking of PR? Just a guess but dumbass Americans are bad at geography cause the world revolves around us, and if it don't we will bomb it till it does.

It was a once in a lifetime trip for me at that age and time. More will follow. I'm going to travel as much as possible in a few years.
