Let me start by saying I've been doing loads of research these past few weeks. I'd say I've easily visited 50 different forums/websites trying to gather as much information as possible. I have a basic procedure type out on my phone and I would really just like to know if there is anything I may have missed or any recommendations to improve upon my collection of knowledge before I dive into "the process" if you will. The information I have is as follows:
☆Conditions☆ •Best temp 77° •Humidity 90-95% (don't leave humidifier on or it will over saturate) •12hrs indirect light 12hrs without (after pinning) •Must be fanned for gas (fresh air or FAE) exchange about 6-8 times a day after pinning • 1part inoculated grain to every 4 parts of substrate FRESH AIR EXCHANGE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE
☆Agar☆ •Agar premix MEA 1000ml of distilled water, 20g agar, 10g of lime •Pressure cook 45min at 15psi •Pour into sterile petri dishes before it cools to much (otherwise it will become gel)
☆Rye grain prep☆ •Cut holes in lids of mason jars •Rinse rye/grain until water is clear (10oz rye per qt) •Add 1/4 top gypsum •soak hot water for 4hrs •cook 7min to absorb water •strain in colander with cold water •toss back and forth between bowl and strainer to help evaporate • yields about 24oz per jar •no standing water
☆Grain Sterilization☆ •1 gallon of water into the pressure cooker and something to elevate the rye jars from water • Let pressure cooker blow steam for 10mins to ensure you're pressurized steam not air •Qt size grain jars 90mins at 15psi (use aluminum foil to keep seal after holes have been cut) •shake jars after removing for grain separation •Let jars cool for 6-8hours
☆Grain inoculation☆ •put on gloves and sterilize with alcohol •Sterilized outside and lids once more with isopropyl alcohol •Shake syringe •Sterilize&Scapal needle with flame (again after each jar) •inoculate with agar or syringe •about 1cc or 1ml per jar (down the sides) •Cover hole with medical tape •shake to disperse agar •store in 75-80° F •shake again after the rye is 30-40% colonized
☆From Jar to Substrate☆ •5-14 days to fully colonized (77-80° jar should be mostly white) •Shake jars (gently) then lay in trays (mix with substrate) •sides and bottom of substrate should be blocked from light to avoid pinning underneath •Cover for 7-8days •White fuzz should appear on surface •Case with thin layer less than 1/2in •Mist heavily •introduce fresh air exchange and fan 6-8 times a day •Don't spray casing after pins appear (don't let casing dry out either, water the base avoiding mushrooms directly) •About 5-7 days after casing you should expect a harvest •Approx 40% fully grown before flushing(picking) •After flush submerge in purfied water for 12hrs with 1/4cup peroxide (or 6% of water amount) refrigerate and cover to avoid contamination
Casing recipe: •280g peat •260g vermiculite •800g distilled water •60g calcium carbonate •0.6g calcium hydroxide(hydroxide optional) •Yields about 4qt of casing (should be about 7.7pH)
Substrate recipe: •Dried cow dung 4quarts or 16cups •Vermiculite 3quarts or 12cups •Soaked straw (12hrs) 500g •Water 3-4quarts
•Mix all ingredients aside from straw •Mix straw •Place substrate in jars (cover with aluminum foil) •Use suspension rack in pressure cooker •Fill with water until 1/3 of the way up the jars •Insert thermometer into middle jar •Place lid on pressure cooker •Let jars increase base temp by 15-20° F •Turn off stove •Let temp go up to 140° and maintain for 1hr (Anything over 170° will begin to sterilize) •Let cool to at least 80° •Add spawn as soon as possible
Please forgive that the information isn't necessarily in the perfect order I'm a bit of a scatter brain. Any and all advice or tips is greatly appreciated!

If you plan on pasturizing the substrate you should leave it for 5 days to sit so that beneficial bacteria colonize it before adding the spawn.

Pans will definitely not go well for a first grow unless you happen to live in their natural climate.
Misting and fanning is old stuff now, don’t need it especially with bulk.
You might need to mist a little occasionally to keep the surface up but that’s it.

Thank you so much for the feed back. Unfortunately I already ordered the syringe for Pans Cyans about a week ago. I do happen to live in their natural climate. I appreciate the insight on misting and fanning. I didn't think they'd need to be misted so much, but I was worried about getting proper FAE. I do plan on dialing in the fruting chamber before starting anything. That way I know I have a reliable environment.
