black spots on my trichocereus

i potted my new san pedro and bolivian torch today. they have been in their packaging they arrived in for a few days, stored until i was ready to pot them. when i pulled them out i noticed small black spots on both of them. on the san pedro there is only one, but on the bolivian there are 4-5.
most of them seem to be under the "skin" (what is the correct name?), and the skin is slightly raised where they are, but the one on the san pedro and one of the ones on the bolivian torch look like they have broken through the skin and they look almost like a human scab.
here is the san pedro:

and here is the bolivian torch:

any ideas? thank you for the help.

idk for sure, probably overwatering, it's better to underwater than overwater cacti, especially newly transplanted roots need time to recover from the shock. if you think it could be overwatering, let the soil almost completely dryout. black spots should calus/heal and just be a blemish. ..or maybe could be over-fertilized.

A fairly common occurrence in spring, and bridgesii can be more prone. Air flow helps. I see it more often on trichs in greenhouses than on those outside.

these are new cuts, only just potted 1.5 days ago, so they have not been watered for a while. the soil is dry throughout. maybe they were overwatered before they were cut. same for fertilisation. if it is not a risk to the cacti then i am happy
thanks for the help

while looking around for solutions to another problem i came across multiple threads where you have replied to people with this same response. one of them as far back as 2011. you have been repeating yourself to noobies like me for at least 9 years!
i swear i did search the forum! somehow i didnt come across any of them though :/ but apologies for making you repeat yourself again! and i commend you for your patience! thanks <3
