It's not that big, but get's the job done - I love it.
Very excited, PC'ing some PDYA w/kanamycin right now.
I wet my pants.
They're in the laundry now.
I use TIDE.
Good detergent.
Clean pants.
Less laughs.
More women.
I have an odd sense of humor, any replies that put a smile on my face while I'm still in a good mood will get some edible cultures sent their way.
Good day!

The motorola is not mine, that picture is from before it was sent to me.. was too lazy to take a picture of my own.
It's the same model that TLG used to sell, but from another supplier (PM me if you want specifics).

I saw a bunch of those going around ebay not too long ago. If you don't mind me asking, where did you pick it up?
I think these were originally made and marketed right after the anthrax letter stuff. They were originally designed like a "fume hood" in that they "suck" air into the filter from the chamber rather than blow positive pressure clean air into the chamber. The idea was that people could open their mail in these boxes and the fume hood action would suck up any nasties (anthrax) and filter it out through the HEPA.
Neat little design though. Most hoods are just too large and bulky for the home grower or amatuer cultivator.

Your description is correct, it says "Mail Sniff" on it as well. The fan has been modified to blow the other way rather than suck air from the chamber.

Man that looks great
wish i could have picked up one of these years ago instead i went and spent nearly $AU 7K on mine(delivery, stand, taxes and payment for regulatory guy to come n test it to standard as per regulations
It would be fantatsic if you could pick up a modular unit that comes in parts so shipping volume is smaller I would certainly buy a portable model to take on field trips if were good and under $500. they are worth their weight in gold would be useful for shroomers and plant micropropagators, orchid growers etc alike for collecting in the field.

When I read mini flow hood I thought I was going to see one like mine. Mine is a plastic shoe box with a vaccume hepa filter and a old fan. But then again I guess that would be a gheto mini flow hood.

Haha, I hear you. I didn't pay too much (~$500 after shipping and restoration). I built my own stand. Bulkiness is definitely the downside. IIRC the dimensions are something like 60"X48"X24". I haven't weighed but it takes 2 people to pick it up so I'm guessing 250lb. Gives a nice lighted work area tho the filters are pricey.
