Monotub pinning advice

Hello there! First timer here and I'm using montubs. I'm seeing ryzomorphs / hyphal knots / white dots, and a few pin heads, but that was about 3 / 4 days ago. Now everything has appeared to have stalled. Humidity 99, temperature high 80s.
Any advice on getting fruiting to start? The mushroom world is full of confusion it seems. Montubs are set and forget, but now do I start giving Fae, misting when I already have high humidity? Mist on substrate to hydrate pins? Leave alone and be patient?
Any advice is appreciated! 🙏🏻

Pictures young Jamie, pictures indeed.
80’s is pushing it. Not that that alone would necessarily halt pinning but it can stress the sub. They produce their own heat as well so ambient temps in the lower 70s are perfect.
A monotub should be getting constant FAE in some way. Either through holes in the tub with polyfil or your lid being loose or cocked to the side etc etc. And you can start with this fae directly after spawning the tub, though some people still advise and wait for 80-100% colonization. Side by sides apparently show mature mushrooms a few days earlier with fruiting conditions directly after spawning.
Misting is only necessary when the surface is getting too dry. You want a little layer of water beads that eventually start to evaporate. Once they’re gone for a bit then you’d mist.
Right now I’d worry about getting them some fresh air and cooler temps. But pictures would really help cuz there might be something else at play

What strain is it you are growing, GT? When I set my tubs up with GT, I spawn and fruit right away... so far its been pretty consistent that at about day 14 from the time I spawn, I harvest. The substrate doesnt always seem to be "fully" colonized but its quite a bit more than where you are at now. How long ago did you spawn your tub? To me it seems like you are maybe only a week to 10 days in at most but seems like it needs to colonize a bit more before knotting takes place. But ya high 80s is prob too hot for them. I try not to let my area get hotter then 82 at most, but low to mid 70s like was said before is ideal.

I havent tried b+... just PES Amazonia and GT. I dont even see the first pins for Amazonia for about 16 days so i do know it can be strain dependant. The substrate looked a bit on the dry side too from what I can see... If I had to guess the field capacity was a bit on the dry side. For my setup I usually do 3 quarts (or 12 cups) of water for 650 grams of coco, and about 2 quarts of Verm. Thats the sweet spot for me at least.

Are you growing APE?
It looks like you used BRF cakes as spawn? And what is the black box for?
There is some stuff going on here. I think everything is healthy but some of that wispy stuff is looking a little sketchy maybe, it’s hard to tell if it’s real grey or not in the pics. I think what may be happening though is that some of those chunks are fruiting by themselves, instead of the tub as a whole. When you spawn to bulk you really have to get your spawn even throughput so it colonizes out in 3D and just takes over everything. You seem to have islands of colonized substrate but nothing connecting them and now they’re like split between colonizing and fruiting.
Edit: I typed that a while ago before you responded. B+ I see. Different varieties do have some differences but they’re all cubensis and they all operate under similar parameters, excepting a few mutant varieties.

Your analysis of islands seems right based on it’s spread. One good sign is a lot of those mycelium veins on the bottom of the tub. Nothing looks terribly grey. One was a brf cake, another a rice bag. Black box tells humidity and temp.
Anything you’d suggest as next steps based on what we have here?

There’s not much you can do except give it favorable conditions and see what pops up. A little air and lower temps if you can manage, the summer can be rough depending on your area.
