Hey all, hope this post finds all of you making the best of some wild times. These are my current tubs. These are five days in since initiating fruiting conditions after a two week colonization in coco and verm. Any opinions or improvement techniques would be great. Have a great day

I’d also like to add that those “balls” are because I used corn for my first time. That’s where they were slightly above the coco.

Thanks a ton for the input. I’ve been really struggling with FAE and I think I’ve got it figured out. They’re Escondido and from spawn to today they’ve behaved beautifully. Really a nice variant to grow. Have a great week and stay safe out there.

Hey there, I’ve got a question for you. I spawned to corn this time around and It really made a difference in regards to the “flatness” of my tub. The corn made those dome balls all over the substrate surface. Do you think it would make sense to hold onto a bit of my coco verm mix and then lay it over my mix? Thanks a bunch.

I always top off my tubs with some substrate and try not to leave any exposed grains...so yes I would do exactly what you just said and save some substrate finish off the tub with.

Yeah, makes total sense. I really don’t like the balls sticking up. Reminds me of a pellicle in a sour beer brew. Thanks again.

totally. So hard waiting to see what happens. It drives me nuts sometimes. so many people gripe about patience and this hobby...I find the patience to be one of the most enlightening things about this. such a nice way to put our minds in check and slow it all down.

You are absolutely right. This hobby will teach you how to put the breaks on and just sit back and let the magic happen.

So this is today. I’m wondering if I should harvest the big one or let it all go until tomorrow. Any ideas or feedback would be great

There's a couple in there I would harvest... I don't let mine mature very much. If the veil is torn I harvest. All the ones in that tub that the caps have lightened up a little I would harvest (me personally)...it's only like 4-5 of them.

Ok. I have three tubs going so I was able to pull these off and I’ll let the rest go for another 24 hours or so.

Those are some nice looking fruits. Could you put something in the pic for size comparison? Like a lighter.

Definitely not ready to harvest. Right after 80 percent of the fruits have torn or are on the verge of tearing their skirts

Dude! My chick is always telling me she’s not ready to be harvested until HER skirts torn too. I yanked those ones out because I didn’t want them to spore all over the place while I was sleeping last night. Tub was looking uniform and solid this morning. These dudes in the above picture were getting ready to make a mess of the joint. Thanks for the info and party on!

I’m also pretty bummed that the HEPA filter I ordered doesn’t come until Friday. I’ve got all my supplies for my flow hood and wanted to clone the quick starters. Hopefully following flushes will produce a fruit I dig and wanna copy.

Ok. So here’s the tub I harvested today. Wet weight was 952 plus what I yanked last night which is 21g dry.
