Hey guys, some serious trouble. Two more monos that won't pin. I've been chucking subs like this for months on end now.

No visible contams, no nasty smells, no mushrooms..

What do I do at this point? It's been agar, tx, a2g, g2g, spawn to sub, chuck bc no pins..

Morale is getting low.

An older example that I kept around for 40 days after spawn.

This one did pin after say 35 days. At the very bottom/side of the tub. Two tiny clusters. Admitted this one was pretty wet when I chucked it.

I’m officially back in the game. No picture but my first wg and toc pins popped.

Then I’ve got second flush Amazonian, ufo, and last half of the taz first flush. I pulled a couple ufo yesterday those little bastards pull the sub up good.

Then you gotta where’s Waldo this one but my first two atl7 pins.

Aka I’m all over them what does I win? It almost looks like a 3rd pin above those two and to the left a bit but maybe it’s just verm n stuff. I loved those mushrooms they put out. Very potent and mind bending. They made me think in numbers somehow.

I got my first ape culture growing out on grain water plates for LI. A friend sent it to me and it’s supposed to be super potent so I’m real excited. I’d love to only need to eat 1.5 to be :trippnballs:

There’s definitely a little primordia hiding next to the two pins.

I was starting to worry cuz it’s been a minute but I noticed what I suspected were some knots yesterday and then sure enough pins.

So stoked on these, especially after finally trying pans and seeing how different they are. This’ll be the third species I’ve eaten.

I got tons of shit today. The first tub I’ve ever lost before getting a flush.

Then for you guys that know lions mane, you think these will work? I’m hoping they’ll colonize and I can just slice some holes in them for fruits to grow out.

Aren't they cute?
Leftover WBR in 1/4 pint, I'd bottom water but the mycelium hasn't unstuck from the jar yet.

Spawned 11 days ago.
Pretty sure I saw knots before but I don't anymore.

Personally I would wipe the moisture off the sides to encourage the sub to give off moisture and trick it into thinking conditions are getting less than optimal for sitting doing nothing, get it thinking 'oh shit I better get some genetic material out!' and then increase FAE, 3-5 fannings a day.

Woo, back in it! I'm feeling the same way this week, I skipped a week cooking jars, which meant skipping a week making tubs, which means I went a week without many fruits! Good to give the dehydrator a break I guess, but now it's time to get back at it :P

I think it’s safe to say the B+ tub wasn’t done growing. Good call to give it more time, Aka and Pand.

Not sure what to make of the Costa Rica tub. Lots of fruit, all of it tiny, some caps very dark and shriveled. Wondering if I should clear cut and see if a second flush produces better results.

And finally, 6 quarts of Mazatapec spawn just about ready to hit the coir. Looks like I’ll be cooking up some dirt tonight!

Maybe they need more light? Stretchig tiny fruits usually lack light.
The more light they get, the fatter the fruits / stems / caps overall. In my experience.

The tubs actually sit right under a window that gets beautiful indirect sunlight the entire day. I think I recall Aka saying (in another thread) that if there’s too much moisture in the substrate the first flush will absorb the extra, causing it to be dark (and small?) but correcting the sub for the next flush.

The pin set continues to fill in, but nothing is getting taller than 2 cm. Feels like maybe all of these tiny fruits have done their job and now they’re just stalling the next flush, y’know? That’s why I’m wondering if a clear cut is the play.
