Do I need a new pressure cooker?

I have 2 pressure cookers. When I first got them, they seemed to work fine and I had good results.
At the end of the cook, if you were to remove the weight then a shit ton of steam would be released super fast (pressure releasing, right? I know you are meant to let it release slowly, but not my point).
Now lately, I've noticed on both cookers the steam wouldn't release much at the end. So I started taking the weight off to see if the steam would shoot out like before. I've had no luck at all. Smallest bit of steam whisps out then it's done. Tried to buy replacement gaskets. Both are not working.
I'm eligible to return both until 30th June so thinking I should, and to combine the money from the two with some of my own and get a decent one.
They are cheap after all.

Sounds like they're not holding pressure. If they're brand new I would return them and get a better one.

Yeah that's what I thought too. Weird how it's both of them and not had them long.
Will this one be ok? It's an Instant Pot brand with built in pressure Cook function. Goes up to 11.6psi but can increase cook time right?

I'm no expert, but I live in Europe and the EU has regulated pressure cookers so we can't get 15psi pressure cookers here. Mine goes up to 12-13 psi, and I cook my grain bags for about 3 hours. I don't think that makes them as sterile as 90-120 mins at 15psi would, but for the time being I'm happy with it as my contam rates are pretty low.

If you're willing to spend £100 for one I'd say throw in a bit more cash and just get a 23qt presto shipped over. I think mine cost me about £120 with shipping and I couldn't imagine using anything else, its got so much room and will future proof you in case you want to move onto bulk (not that I'm there yet).
If you dont have a cooker that will fit a 23qt you can still get a camping burner or something to use it on.
Just my 2 pennys, all the best!

That's a good idea! I have 2 because I wanted more room, so 23qt would be perfect. Did you just order from US Amazon? Thanks man!

Yeah, I got my presto for 150€ imported, but I think they're kinda hard to get at the moment and prices are inflated due to COVID-19

Also repping the presto 23qt. If I had the money, I dont think I'd even bother going up to an AA, I'd just get another presto and spend the change on spares like gaskets.

Indeed, can't find any anywhere.
Presto seems like a good bet then, but don't think I will find one anytime soon.

Read the manual. Come back and let us know what the problem was and that you got it fixed.

I've read the manual 3 times. It's a faulty product. Thanks. You quoted my post but failed to acknowledge that I said I have used the cooker without problems and had good results in the past.

Its a hunk of metal it doesn't break unless you smash it or warp it. Simple problems are from when it fails to be maintained or the gasket goes. Fix it lol.
That's pretty much 110% exactly the point. It worked in the past...

Incorrect. The gaskets have been replaced. Same issue as others are having on the Amazon reviews after having a deeper look. It's a piece of shit, as I said. It's in my fucking house and I've used it enough times, I don't know who you're trying to tell what's what.
Imagine having that much time on your hands... All you do is shit post bro, chill. Get a life. You wrote up some decent teks and now you think you are never wrong. I couldn't care less. Every single person on this post has been helpful, except for you, as usual. Go away and stop commenting on my shit. I don't want you on my posts.

I don't think I would use a PC that didn't have a gauge on it. Also if your weight is rocking while you use it, it doesn't make sense that no air comes out when you take it off . Sooo, if you aren't getting pressure to build and don't have a gauge, how you know its even at a correct pressure? maybe just need to turn your stove up. If you have a bad gasket it will be obviously leaking.

The weights or toggle are more accurate than the gauge anyway. If it rattles/ventd you know you got to pressure.

Right, but if you remove it and no air comes out?

Then the gasket is leaking and if worked in the past it can work again unless it literally broke. But its a chunk of metal so...
Or the vent orifice is clogged. Or plugged from the inside from something put in the cooker like foil or other debris.

Clogged vent hole would mean you couldn't open it (or shouldn't). Gasket would be obvious bc it would be leaking the entire time you used it.
