can someone explain the logic behind this sentiment:
"united states citizens have lots of guns and thats why the police should have lots of guns"
on a side note, where are all these gun-toting criminals? when have any of you (living in the usa) witnessed any outlaws running around aiming guns at people?
ive seen plenty of cops aim their weapons at people to intimidate them.

It's the only thing that prevents special needs "I'm not very smart but I can lift heavy things" types from just beating everyone to death on the reg. No amount of weight training can protect you from that. Muscles are fucking redundant here and I fucking love it.

He's basically saying that he loves the fact that guns level the playing field in a world where ordinarily the men with the most strength will naturally win most fights.
Which, having grown up in England, I think is a very cowardly perspective, but hey ho; it is what it is.
At least he can't buy nukes, I'll say that.

having brute strength will win less fights against someone whom has self-defense training. yes i know being strong is a tactical advantage, but it is useless if you dont know how to throw a punch

But a larger & stronger person with the same training as a smaller & weaker person - if they both have equal intelligence - will more times than not win in a fight. I think that was his point (more or less). Not that it’s my point, nor do I think it’s an ironclad truth nowadays. There are other means and ways to deal with people.

i think humans are intelligent enough to realize that we all share the same planet and have no need to bludgeon each other to death. we can all share the planet. we should.

Same, basically. We’ve had to be utterly ruthless in the past to survive in order to get to a safe & relatively stable place for ourselves on Earth, but now that we’re here and it’s the age of plenty and technology I think we are easing off of it gradually now. Things are comparatively the best they’ve ever been for humans throughout all of known history - all things considered.
And that goes for material & nonmaterial “bests”, at least potentially. Things are actually quite good.

There is no logic because you framed the premise backwards.
No offense man but you're all over the place with this shit on this sub.
"The police have lots of guns, that's why you need at least one gun for self-defense against the state that has zero legal obligation to protect you."
Fixed.
