I've eaten prairie oysters once before. Not a fan but had to try at least once in my life Haha. Also have a recipe for candied sweetbreads on a bed of seared heart.

That wouldn't have happened if you had a cat. Just sayin...

If I had a cat I would've been violently attacked by a deer! That's a 50 foot leash, he was further away, she was fully coming for me and he intercepted.
Can your precious cat do that?
I do like cats tho lol

Yeah the skin is where most of the flavor of a chicken is. Eating just the wings of many birds is the kind of decadence that might well have been reserved for the aristocracy in another time and place. Just give me the wings, I don't care what you do with the rest of the chickens. And stuff them in a peacock or something.

Yikes. The deer that roam my neighborhood must be pretty domesticated. Every year we have at least 2-3 babies that pretty much get raised in the backyard, and the Mothers just chill, and keep their distance.
I've been kind of intimated by deer in the past while out camping though when they start huffin' and puffin' ...never know what could happen.

Interesting observation. Perhaps pirate-blues was almost attacked because she had been in contact with a winger prior to the deer encounter, and the deer was confused.

I have never had trouble with deer unless it was rotting season. Then I usually tend ot to go too far in the woods in the area I'm from. There are a lot of deer around back home and you can see the markss on trees from bucks. Usually that is a good sign to get out of that area. Have never seen a deer grunt or huff unless it was a die and fawn or like I said a buck in rutting season.
