Think I’ve got a single shroom growing on a single cake at this point.
Monday would have represented 5 weeks since starting so I would expect things to start picking up in the next several days. Been doing my humidifier cycles still and spritzing a couple times a day.

Here’s my one possible (?) shroom:

I feel like I’m doing something fundamentally wrong most days, but hopefully it all works out.

Thanks for all the support pasty. Since I just have the one, would you recommend keeping it steamy for a little while longer?

I’m not really sure what you’re doing, I guess just stay the course and as long as things don’t go south it’s fine. But you’re not really on tek so you’re kinda just winging it. If the cakes turn blue they need more moisture. Otherwise it’s probably fine.

To elaborate on what I’m currently doing;
I didn’t feel that my perlite was sufficiently wet. I was able to put a finger in 4.5” of perlite and it barely be dewy. This was with me originally spraying ~3-4 times a day and fanning 6-8. Thats when the steamy comment got me thinking, well, what about a small humidifier? So I generally let that run for a couple hours, bringing humidity up to 100%. Then kill it and ‘sweep’ the door a few times to recycle the air in the room. Open the lid and fan it off for 20s or so, and let it hang out for an hour or 2. I’ll then give it a good mist and fan before firing up the humidifier for a repeat. Then give it a rest at night (though I could set up a timer...).
My plan was, once broad pinning began to stop the humidifier and go back to mist and fan at the original schedule

Fanning is pointless. It’s meant to dry things out. If your chamber is dry the last thing you should be doing is fanning it.

Things progressing well. All but 1 cake now showing at least 1 pin, with a few showing lots. More coming every day!

Updates, today with pictures.
The whole crew

Little cluster

Some bruising on this one from a touch several days ago.

Current question is around speed of maturity and if I’m stunting their growth. Most of these pins have been around a few days and I keep reading 5-12 days until harvest. I’m keeping rH up in the low 90’s but was running humidity way up to 100% as early as yesterday morning.
Just wondering what conditions I should be targeting now that I’m fruiting and have several visible pins?
Thanks!

OH also have a single cake giving me a just slightly darkened fungal growth that I’m unsure about. It’s one of the only cakes (the only now?) not pinning yet.

That cake is moldy, it needs to go outside now. The rest look okay, be patient, they won’t grow faster if you monkey with stuff too much.

Does that happen to the cake without properly fully consolidating? (Noob)

No. It happens when mold spores contact uncolonized media.

Veils popped on several shrooms on one cake that was / is way ahead of the others. Not as big as I’d hoped, and seeing some split tops. Assuming that means some combination of too hot and too dry. As opposed to settling into the right humidity. Given how off tek I was that’s not entirely surprising, but until I brought in the humidifier things were just way too dry. Hopefully I’ll continue to dial it in on 2nd flush once the rest of these cakes finish going off.
