Kept some for weeks!

Anyone else have experience with prestos swelling on the bottom? Mine have been doing it for a few months ive noticed, and I cant recall if it's always done it, or they're just worn out... they swell to the point I can rotate them with a light path with a single finger on the handle

Mine did. I just figured it was bc I put it on too high heat and bowed it out. Business has been good lately, so I gave it to a friend (warned him about it) and just bought an AA921 so I never have to worry about it again. But I used it for at least 3 months with a slightly bowed bottom, was just careful about the heat.

Do you guys cover Flowhoods with anything to keep from getting it contaminated??

I've never covered mine, haven't heard of anyone else doing it. I spray mine with sanitizing spray or alcohol before I turn it on and let it run a few mins before doing any work.

I have a few mushroom stems that split by themselves. Is it a bad thing? I'm assuming it's because this is from my 4th flush harvest and the sub is spent

The are flat at room temp, only bow under pressure... business HAS been  good: about to drop the coin for 2 75X's: if I can decide if I want 120v or 240v... I'm leaning 240v, they're only 20 dollars more per unit and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to run dedicated circuitry either way... both units are 1650watts so 120Volts@13.75Amps, or 240Volts@6.875Amps... wire and devices a bit more expensive but the savings in energy cost over time pay for itself ... just talked myself into it! WOOT, IM DOING IT... will be retiring the prestos to stock pot, hydrating grain and handling home intruders (shout out to my homie; you already know)

Could be the metal softening from the heat, that’s why presto recommends you don’t use outdoor propane burners as it’s really easy to get too much heat with those.

I'm thinking it's probably the 15lbs of pressure per square inch: it doesnt bulge when cooking grain at  atmospheric pressure or without a lid... my question is whether it is normal or not... they've both been run dry at some point in their history as well: either or, it's done! 75X's are ordered

Cloned some wild oysters, came back and the myc is like all over and dimensional filling the whole volume of the culture dish. Second culture I took isn't exhibiting this behavior, but is obviously bacterial contamed. Is this typical of oyster myc or did I bring cobweb into my home?

Also peep the giant puffball clone finally taking hold on the left.

That's not oyster... it's a pen mold I believe... oyster looks like this:

2 species, second one is wild and pinning on the plate, both very similar THICK growth: not wispy at all

Puffball looks like its turning green?

Yeah oyster is pretty aggressive but really thick too.

Definitely pin mold should be tons of black dots by morning.

I doubt it’s SUPPOSED to warp but idk how much it affects the accuracy of gauge, safety might be a concern though. Probably better it’s retired and moved onto grain prep and bustin heads lol. Wish I could afford an AA, steel>aluminum

My condolences... Anyone else using 75X or AA-941? (SAME 41.5QT vessel, just a stove top unit instead of a plug up stand alone) if so, how many/what size bags are you cramming in?

Wont be doing timers: they fail... going 240v to split the energy consumption

You COULD... the mush provides for me bc I provide for it

I turn the heat down where It just holds the pressure at 17-18 psi .. I’ve super glued 2 quarters to the pressure release jiggler top.. it barely makes noise that way too..I’ve never ran out of water either.. your blasting out all the steam ..lower your burner heat buddy ..
