An extremely macabre question, maybe the worst one ever. (Dark Side question!)
    #26728276 - 06/08/20 07:08 AM (3 years, 7 months ago)

I apologize humbly in advance for this very shocking and woefully inappropriate inquiry.

First, take a look at the 52 second video where a guy is doing his job:

What is this, you may wonder?

The guy is pouring Zyklon B down 4 air vents of the gas chamber below, at a Krematorium of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Below are 1500 people. He has nothing to do with what came before or comes after, never saw them or will see them, he just gets off the van, opens the vents, pops the cans, chucks them in, closes the vents, hops on the van and heads off for lunch.

Thats his part in one of the most atrocious industrial processings of human beings of all time.

The ones of us that arent evil fucks abhor this completely.

But lets spin the scenario around and cherrypick.

Lets say there were 1500 of the worst mass murderers in there, or child molesters, or the top brass of the Third Reich, 1500 of the most crooked cops or politicians or whoever you deem most horrible.

Is there a group of people, specifically defined, for whom you'd step up to chuck those cans of pellets down those 4 shafts?  So I mean, actually volunteer to drop the poison to end the lives of 1500 specifically defined people?

If no, say "not under any circumstances" or something to that effect.

If yes, specifically define the groups of people (one group or a whole list of kinds of groups) to whom you voluntarily administer this mass death penalty yourself.

There will be no mistakes or innocent people caught up in this, the 1500 people in your case will be 100% how you define them.

The gas used, HCN, is the same as in the US capital punishment gas chamber.

The ball is in your court.

Not under any circumstances. Just a personal thing not to hurt other people.  That is somebody elses job.

I want to say no but upon reflection there is definitely a subset of people, an ideology that seems to indicate there are those that disagree with humans living peacefully and with equality. If it weren't for that subset of individuals there may just be no war.. an advanced utopic society worthy of the greatest of accolades. Or the diddlers.. fuck them. Chuck them in a gas chamber for all I give a fuck. There are people that deserve to die and it doesn't make me a bad person to say so and neither do I think it would make me a bad person to end their lives.

I would gladly step to the plate and pour some gas in (I'd hit the on switch too) if it meant eradicating 1234go and Spicemaster. They must be punished and made example of for their dangerous and hateful anti-chicken wing rhetoric.

I once jokingly said to my Spirit Guide that I wouldnt mind giving 1500 of the most influencial staunch holocaust deniers a free demonstration that it in fact DOES work.

My Spirit Guide ambushed me months later with several scenarios of specific groups of people, groups of people I have positive bias for and negative bias against in this situation and asked me to make a true to life judgement call on whether I would be the one.

:rainbowcloud: as I tend to be, there were a few categories for whom I, regretfully, would do the deed, not out of personal vendetta but for the greater good of humanity and the world at large.

It would fuck me up for life and haunt me in my nightmares but, I'd feel I'd have improved on the world.

"See how little it takes to do the unthinkable?" my Spirit Guide said and congratulated me for having the nuts to admit to the dark side of my true nature.

I deliberately omitted a poll because I'd like people to own up to where they stand.

The victims are anonymous, the ones doing the deed are in person.

He can hear you, question is will he answer you in a way that you can discern?

Say it out loud, with conviction, and wait it out:

Yes precisely. It would tear me up inside but if it was for everybody then it's less important how it effects me. Big talk but real talk all the same. Especially having kids, it's important to me that the world looks better after I leave than when I came in to it. If I plant a tree today it's my grandkids that get to enjoy it. That attitude is how/why we respect our elders and ancestors.

Yea. The ones that cant be fixed and are complete dangers to society. 1500? Nah that's still murder territory. Add a few more zeros(preferably all) then we would be cooking with fire.

Edit: if it was my perfect world they would not be gassed at all. They would be used to the fullest extent for society via science. For example: they would be volunteer covid19 vaccine testers.

When you get to creating life (human) and ending life (human) you’re treading on sacred ground that I prefer not to trespass on.  I get things wrong sometimes so I’m not real willy nilly on killing folks...

That’s not to say in some magical hypothetical situation someone cooks up that I wouldn’t for some reason do it but, I sure would like to avoid it if possible..

You know what I think about?  It says in the bible that you receive everything you’ve done in your body whether it be good or bad..  basically you’ll be called into account for it.  I sometimes wonder about the guy who flipped the switch to drop those nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki..  I wonder how those judgement days are going to work out.  I mean this is a guy who used to be a kid and played on the play ground at school and shit like that.... but his life took a different turn..

Just the flip of a switch, that’s all it takes.... that’s how easy they make it for you..

Thats been on my mind too, several times in fact.

The task outlined in the OP too, its just a simple job, not having to deal with what comes before and what comes after, but the consequences are so far reaching.

What will their Purgatory be like?  Will they experience every dying of every person of every chamber they gassed?

What I do know is that everything is in perfect balance.

Will I suffer the fate of the mice I fed rat poison?

I can only hope the afterlife is merciful for sinner and saint alike.

What about context? What if you had to feed that mouse poison or it would infect you and/or the population around you?

No, I would not do this.

Even if they deserved this punishment, it is not my duty to harm anyone.

Karma has a way of balancing the scales without my assistance.

Context matters too.

If the SS guy from the "Hygiene-institut" didnt do his job, there were no provisions for letting those 1500 people out alive again, and the 15 cremation ovens were hot and running.

If the gas guy didnt do his job, those people would suffocate to death by their own breath, an even worse fate that Zyklon B which knocked most unconscious shortly after one or two good inhalations.  The gas guy was forced in a slot where it would be irresponsible to not do as told, and thoats how the death machine was ran
