5 out of 5 agar to grain jats contamned

So my previous MS to grain, MS to agar, agar to agar (4 transfers,) have all been EXTREMELY successful. Very very low contam rate. Im pretty upset about my first agar to grain jars not working out... I had two shoeboxes contam sometime during the second flush, I believe I harvested them too quickly and that caused the contam, and I didnt santize the closet afterwards. I do my work in a SAB though. Here are some quick notes.
1. I dont spray my SAB anymore, maby I should santize EVERYTHING before doing further projects and start spray the lid/sides of my SAB
2. During my agar to grain, I would take my agar lid completely off and make the cuts. I would then stab the agar with one hand, and take the top off the grain jar and drop the piece in, put the top back on and get another piece. Im thinking this is incorrect. Could I get some input on this?
3. I didnt replace my polyfil from my last grow, Im thinking this was a bad move. I figured the PC would sterilize everything, maby not. Also my jar lids were a little rusty.
Any tips would be great. I have a lot of 4th transfer agar in my fridge that needs to be used, I will be taking more transfers as well. Thanks for your time guys.

Got plate pics? And why would harvesting too soon cause contamination?

Im on a quick wall, I will post them ASAP. They are grown to the edges, and I put them in the fridge. I mighttve made some big holes, using the same blade for all the harvesting, not sure.
What Im concerned about is why my agar to grain contamed. Im thinking I was sloppy and over confident and didnt take enough precautions. I need to atleast clean my SAB, spray the top/sides and transfer the agar into the jars differently. The agar was 4th transfer so I am assuming it was clean?

Using agar doesn't do a damn thing for guaranteeing cleanliness. If you use it wrong its no better than shooting spores to grain. Also the amount of transfers means nothing. You could be on your 47,000th transfer and introduce mold.

Harvesting doesn't cause contamination. I bet the spawn wasn't as clean as it looked.
As for the sab stuff, keep at it. Your skills will improve and you will get less contamination.
When inside the sab, move slowly. You don't want to whip up any spores inside. It's a good idea to spray the inside of the sab before working. The damp surface will adhere any spores that land on it. I use either dilute soap water or sometimes even a dilute bleach water.
Unscrew the jar lid 99% before you take the wedge. Use one hand to open the agar plate and the other to take the wedge. Put the agar plate lid back on then with the same hand then lift the jar lid enough to get the wedge in and do it.
You only need to open a jar lid enough to get the wedge in there. Hold the scalpel so only the minimum amount of the blade extands in to the jar and rotate it so the wedge falls in without touching the sides. Your not actually taking the lid off just lifting one side of the lid open.
At least that's how I'd do it. I hope that helps.

I like what you had to say. What I meant about the harvest, is I plucked some of the mushrooms and it left a few holes that were too big. Regardless, thats not my worry.
I feel I should be past asking this kind of stuff, but I need to adjust what Im doing a little. When you spray your SAB, do you soray the top, sides, AND the bottom? Let it sit for a bit, then place an empty petri dish down and them the agar on the empty petri dish? After that, Ill follow your process.
Lastly, do you think the agar ive had in my fridge for a week is still completely viable as if it never went in the fridge to begin with? Its grown out to the sides of the dishes.

I put the raised grill thing on the sanitised table, then i spray inside the sab, tops/sides and put it over the grill on the table. I lift it up to pop the agar plate and jars in and let it sit for a moment. Thats it.
