Hello all! This is my first grow and I need some help please
I birthed 5 BRF cakes on June 1st Everything was going good I notices some spikey mycelium growing on day 3 I brushed it off thinking it was mycelium growing through the outer verm layer. Here are some pics from june 3rd(day3)

Also on June 3rd(day3) I noticed this on only one of my cakes

I didnt know if it was some type of contam(trich) it honestly just look like a small green aquarium pebble or somthing. I didnt see it when I birthed the cake or the first few days. Maybe it was something in the verm I rolled it in after birthing? And maybe it was hidden and when some verm fell of it was exposed.....Who knows? I quickly took that cake out of the sgfc and cut that green dot off. I isolated the cake back in a 1/2pint Mason jar and put a sandwich bag on top. Now this cake is looking fine even today no more green pepples or green growth on this cake
Day 7(june 7th) The isolated cake is still looking fine but my other cakes in the sgfc are not. The cakes are discolored blue maybe even greenish. Here are some pics

Ok so to wrap things up I have 3 main questions 1. Whatsup with the spikey mycelium in the first pics? Is that normal?
2. What is your opinion on the green dot/pepple in pictures of the cake I had to isolate? Is it contamination?
3. The discolored cakes in the 3rd set of pictures is that bruising or contamination??? Are they done for???
Thankyou

Be patient... if they weren't consolidated all the way they could take upwards of 3 weeks to fruit... keep misting and waiting... consider bulk for less maintenance cultivation
The bluing is bruising from either drying(looks like) or being over saturated; or both
If you're misting ,try doing the walls and the perlite instead of the cakes directly... if they're dry, might do better giving them a dunk... hard to tell from these photos... Another bit of advice: trim your posts down; guarantee the majority of folks saw how long it was and didnt even finish reading
1. Could be normal growth yes 2. Dont see what you're referring to specifically 3. Looks like bruising from drying IMHO 4. PATIENCE BRUH

Im pretty sure spikey mycelium aka Aerial mycelium is caused by birthing before 100% conscolidation.
Just be patient. Mist the perlite, lightly mist on the cakes so they dont dry out. Give it a couple weeks.

I just spotted the first pins on my cakes and theyve been in the sgfc for 10 days so be patient. The green bit looks more like something embedded in the cake rather than contamination. I got hell weird mycelium growth on all my cakes, spikey and lumpy but I'm pretty sure my cakes had abit of a bacteria problem since germination, which apparently can cause that growth. Mine bruised from handling but yours looks like it's more from dryness. What's your setup like and did you wait the 1 week after 100% colonization before birthing?

My setup is a sgfc with a few inches of perlite. I've been misting from high above the cakes letting the mist settle. I waited until the mycelium covered all the brf then waited 1 week. I guess it wasn't exactly long enough. But everything is looking good today. I noticed 3 pins on 2 different cakes.
Thankyou all for the help and input
