I found some similar looking specimens this morning but after a very quick peak under the microscope I noticed that the gill edges are all lined bright white with the same powder like coating seen on the stipe.  I'll post it later with images through the eye piece.

edit: I suspect that this may actually be Panaeolus olivaceus, will know more once I complete the microscopy.

Start layering on straw, dead grass, any herbivore dung(old, not fresh).
If it's in someone elses lawn, that'd probably be a horrible idea.

Ok then, that's perfect.
What I mean by layering, is thrown down a 1"-2" layer, water it in.
Then after it settles down below the grass, add more, could take a few days.
Keep doing this until 3-4 layers, only water it if it's not raining, too much water can be bad, it could become anaerobic.
Don't expect immediate results, it will take time for the organic matter to colonize.

Yes, and with the last point, it might be best to wait until fruiting has ceased.
