Discussion about Dr.Jordan B. Peterson
    #26720467 - 06/04/20 10:41 PM (3 years, 8 months ago)

I discovered Dr.Peterson when my cousin,
I was watching Joe Rogan interview him,
It was my cousin's first mushroom experience,
I enjoyed they're discussion,
and Dr.Peterson's message of responsibility and more.
If anyone else knows him I would like to discuss

I appreciate his candidness, discernment, and refreshing perspective.  Regardless of what some think about him, I am generally in agreement with his outlooks & views.

His older material & classroom lectures are what stand out in my eyes - and that is the majority of what I concern myself with when it comes to his work.
The interviews and stuff after he became famous are not so much my taste, but to each his own.
The old stuff is full of gems - in light of that, he was a good teacher.  Listen to them all, he takes a lot from other great minds, but his gift is in disseminating it in a cohesive fashion.

I agree with your whole statement,
I have listening to all of his old material,
Or at least everything I could find,
His classroom lectures, 12 rules for life tour,
and his own podcast with his daughter.
I find his views informing at the deepest of instincts.

I recently discovered a new media form,
that I believe Dr.Peterson may have inspired the growth of,
It is called "MeaningWave" from a artist called
"Akira The Don", and "42 rules for life" was my first song
In that genre. If you haven't heard it, I'd recommend checking it out

Guy actually listens to people and is patient and puts his points across in ways that are quite amazing to watch and read in todays society.  Most just want to interrupt and argue and no real communication or progression takes place.

Plus he is taking on mainstream media and College kids which is difficult for him to take on that juggernaught of bullshit.  More more power to him.  When asked what one of his greater weaknesses is he said his temper.  To have that level of patience hearing garbage from most and then respond in a intellectual, educated, and reasonable matter is amazing to me.

Just starting his 12 rules for life which after watching endless youtube videos he has done I learn something worth learning in life to put it bluntly.  Actually quite a bit really when I think about it.  I feel like a man and not someone that needs to feel needless guilt and babied.

Wow.  Am learning so much.  Is fascinating how he swims through the shark infested and idiotic for the most part media and shallowness of it.

Really watching him.  And hearing on a podcast that they usually use 2-3 minutes from an hour interview from him.  Podcasts for the most part are shit.  But there are a few good ones.  Like his time and the points :jolly: Rogen made when interviewing him.

And yes he has a temper.  When you are a realist and Canadians in my experience usually are, plus a teacher/professor I get why he can't stand the fake bullshit at times.  Enjoying learning from him.

It is kind of like being out of College or the U and learning everyday.  Reason.

Jordan Peterson.  Just some professor from Canada.  Lol.

Jordan Peterson's book seriously sucks! It was seriously the most boring book I've ever purchased. I enjoy watching him and I love how he's against the radical left but he's definitely after that cash money just like the rest of us...

Nothing wrong with making a buck imo. Inspiring dude. Wish any of my professors back in the day had that kind of passion and realness. He fills a gap with the way he points things out.

Yeah the book seemed boring after watching his lectures and interviews and it was enough to just listen to him talk over the points, the rules. I have no idea why it sold so much, but hey that's how the hype works and popularity and media attention I guess. Maybe it was his master plan all along to get rich  :rollsafe:

He got popular because he was arguing with the leftist idiots on his college campus 🤣. It went viral and he's been popular ever since. People are seriously getting tired of political correctness and identity politics. Jordan peterson and Donald Trump are proof of that. It's destroying movies, video games and television. Just look at what happened to star wars and the last of us 2.
