Week 4 flowering
Also I got a salvia plant in from a local shroomery member. The plant had two separate main stems coming off the main rootball so I clipped one of them to root out separately. The other one got transplanted with the rootball in a 2 gallon self watering pot with a nice promix/EWC soil amended lightly with the same crab shell meal, neem meal, kelp meal mixture and was all watered in with a weak fish/seaweed solution.

Beautiful plant dude! I might need to give led a try. That growth looks very healthy. What's the wattage on that unit?

Thanks It’s only 100 watts.
It might be a little underpowered for full flowering in this 2x2 though, I’m not sure. So far it’s doing great though.
I’m getting about 500-550 ppfd at the canopy with the light being 12-15” away. The recommended flowering range is 500-1000 ppfd, so barely within the minimum. If I drop it to 12” I can maybe bump that up to around 550-600, but then the plant is getting too close to the light.
With all this being said, the plant is happy, and she’s in a big ass pot with plenty of root space and a nice rich soil mixture so maybe she will do fine.
I’m considering swapping it out for something a little stronger. The 135w QB288 Rspec from HLG would be about perfect I’m thinking. Don’t get me wrong for 100 watts this thing is badass and crazy efficient, I’m just not sure it will have enough umph come final stages of flowering if I want to maximize yield and quality in my space. I’m sure it will do ok though and probably be plenty sufficient. I’m sure I’ll pull at least 4 Oz off her regardless, just because of the size of the pot and veg time. We will see.

Right on dude I'm looking forward to seeing her on harvest day! I've smoked Neville and ghost train haze and they are STELLAR true sativa strains.

Nice dude looks like you'll have 6 solid colas. She's looking super happy looks like some burnt tips though are you flushing and feeding or letting the plant work on the nutes in the soil ammendments you mentioned and feeding water alone?

Hey green horns- RO water only she’s feeding exclusively on the nutes in the soil. Minus a weak fish/seaweed/molasses watering 2-3 weeks ago. She’s known to be a heavy feeder so I went fairly heavy on the soil, there’s some very minor top burn if you look closely but nothing she won’t gobble right through once she hits the bulking phase. Got her right where I want her at this point and nothing to do but just keep her watered and let her do her thing!

Very cool! I've never seen someone grow indoors with nutes just from soil.

It’s an organic amended soil mix.
Oh and i realized I forgot to list the most important ingredient....worms! I put a small handful of red wigglers From my worm bin in the 15 gallon pot to do their thing while she grows. They eat through the soil mix, pooping out goodness as they go along, and dropping cacoons in the process so by the end of the grow that small handful has turned into a large handful

And I thought I was the only one that put worms in all my plant pots
Just wait until you finish the plants and reuse that soil. You'll have huge night crawlers in it for fishing!

Nice Allium!
These are the little red wiggler Composting worms, so they will probably just stay in that soil until I’m ready to reuse it lol
