Personal health recommendations with mushrooms and more! 1

So i'm looking to start a better overall health regimen for myself involving all things natural and fulfilling! I recently have only been smoking CBD (mostly because of probation :c ) as to not cloud my thoughts, but as far as dietary i'm open to new ideas and suggestions. Currently I have just started making my own Irish sea moss gel and incorporating that into smoothies and drinks. I have just purchased Lion's Mane 2100mg mushrooms capsules to start taking to increase my mental well-being combined with B vitamin complex. I want to make an efficient stack that can help me feel better overall as since I have stopped smoking Mary-J I have noticed a semi depression that washes over me occasionally. I intend to start micro-dosing once I find my very own weilii or cubensis patch (still learning!) as I have experienced the wonderful effects already for myself in past trips. I just wanted to hear from you guys what else you think would be beneficial for me as well. I appreciate any responses in advance! Thanks for reading

I just started making a lot of similar changes in my life.
I've started taking lions mane - I do feel good lately, I feel like it's subtle enough that it may be placebo, but it's noticeable enough that I just ordered some Lions Mane spores off of etsy and am gonna try and cultivate it myself.
I've stopped smoking weed - but I do vape it and eat it a lot. Overall I'd say my cannabis consumption has definitely increased. But overall, I feel like I was in a huge rut this winter, and that I'm making good progress clawing my way out of it that I can't help but think it's helping.
I've switched to a more plant based diet. I still dig a good steak occasionally. I despise factory farming though and I can no longer stick my head in the sand. So I only eat it about 2-3 times a week now(I would like to get to maybe 1x a week), and I go to significant lengths to make sure it's local and ethically raised meat. I feel better since I've started eating less meat, and it's really super easy because I enjoy cooking and trying new things. If I want meat I eat it, I certainly don't restrict, but I try to stick to once a day max. Preferably less.
I've starting cycling 100 miles a week. This is a recent thing and I'm only about a month deep. I love it. I hike, kayak, paddleboard, and run(and I'm trying to get better at running, but I'm kind of bad at it and it's slow progress). I'd like to add weights and yoga. I'm coming off 6 months of self neglect during a breakup, so it feels especially good to feel good about myself and start to see progress here.
I'm consistently taking my vitamins. I have untreated(but diagnosed and studied for years) ADHD and taking pills are the bane of my existence. Remembering whether I took them or not is a serious and real issue - even for something as crazy psychoactive as adderall(which actually calms me down..and I will literally take a nap after I take one) is easy for me to forget. So you can imagine vitamins are a problem for me. With covid I haven't needed the trusty old vitamin box because I'm now scared into taking my vitamins. Which are : D, b12 and b6(only because I don't eat a lot of meat), fish oil, magnesium, and zinc. I also take melatonin at night every other day or so. I don't want to stunt the natural production too much.
I'm just trying to be better, in general.

Can't go wrong with good old fashioned excersize. Get a couple miles of walking in or make an effort to put 10 miles a day on your bike. The time spent can be used for deep thought or meditation of sorts.

Yes! I truly achieve a sort of zen at mile 25 in the middle of an intense hill climb on my bike that is hard to replicate elsewhere.
I have dealt with depression and anxiety for years and I hate to be one of those people that's like 'exercise is the cure', but my god, if you deal with any of that shit, your life will be 10x better with a decent exercise regimen.

It sounds like you are a definite path of improvement my friend! Any step to a better self is a good step it from the sounds of it you've made quite a few
I just today tried my first dosage of Lion's Mane (granted it was about 3 hours ago worked kicked my butt and I forgot to take them lol) but honestly I felt more energetic and less tired about an hour after taking it. And I have more of a compulsion to read even after a long shift which usually I wouldn't even consider. So placebo or not, I like how it's effecting me so far! And if you buy the 2100mg one from amazon in the black bottle there's a sticker on top that takes you to a site where you can get two free bottles, which is totally nice considering it's only a month supply. Little tip haha Once I learn more about mycology and how to find mushrooms in the wilderness I'm going to attempt to start growing them myself. I feel I have a lot to learn before I started growing them indoors though
And I consistently vape myself, which to some extent I feel is a bit much but hey it's 10x better than the Newport Reds I used to smoke I have recently been using 99.6% CBD extract from a site called Fully Activated and it's fantastic as far as something that makes my body feel less achy and it's a nice placebo because I can dab it and feel like I'm still smoking haha.
And a plant based diet is great in general although I have to say I still need to eat my fish. I've been a pescitarian for over 9 years now because I was obese as a child and decided that wasn't my cup of tea >.< I wish I could just fish my own but hey it's hard to be completely ethical health wise in a normal society. If I attempted to eat regular beef now a days I'd probably puke or at least feel crazy in my stomach.
Personally my workout regimen is sub-par, I'd like to get more into cycling and workouts with weights but i've yet to really find the time to expand on that. Sounds like you have a ton of fun getting fit! I mostly longboard but haven't even gotten to do that much lately :/ I intend to eventually get myself motivated enough to get fit but currently a 15 minute exercise leaves me out of breathe. And props to you for taking a breakup so well at least later, alot of people never find the motivation to get healthy again.
I also myself have considered a self diagnosed ADHD but yet to put my thought into it, I absolutely loathe going to doctors and hearing the negative things they might have to say or pills they may try to prescribe. Probably not the smarted thing to say (self diagnosed) but i've been extremely easily distracted since as long as I can remember but on well I feel it keeps me on my toes most times. I hardly like taking an aspirin much less medication. I used to take fish oil but now I eat a ton of hemp seeds which have alot of the omega oils that I need but never considered magnesium or zinc which i'm sure I lack in. I feel like multivitamins are a placebo that doesn't work for me because I hardly can tell a difference taking them even for an extended period of time. Meletonin is hit or miss for me I used to take it but then after awhile I became even more restless so unsure whats going on there but I decided that a new bed is probably the best prescription for that problem Getting me a badass purple mattress that I finally dropped the money on after debating for a long time so we will see when that comes in.
Thank you for the detailed reply, it's nice to see other people in similar circumstances that have made better of themselves. I don't consider myself clinically depressed or anything but the wave of it definitely sucks. Always great to know you're going in the right direction

I would like to feel this zen you speak of man, I have a semi-decent mountain bike but no mountains near me lol. Mostly trails and after awhile that bike gets so uncomfortable to sit on. Any recommendations for a good bike? Or hell even a good seat that would make it semi more enjoyable? I mostly longboard but living in georgia doesn't really give me the opportunity to skate long distance without going to the city and that's unfeasible for daily use since work is so frequent ;(
