These guys have been showing up by the thousands in my food forest, I re-mulched with half decomposed wood a few months ago,
and now I don't even have to go hiking to find mushrooms. :awesomenod:

This guy and about 50 of his friends are permanent residents here too

I have a pond with a small waterfall in my back yard and they breed there every year, along with 2 species of toads, 2 species of native tree frogs, and 1 pair of bullfrogs.
I think my pond is the sex hub for a few square miles at least since I'm not close to any natural water sources. When the first rains of spring hit I can barely stand being outside because the noise of all the frogs is ear piercingly loud.

I love frogs as much as I do mushrooms.  Frogs have saved me 3 different times from being bitten by water moccasins. The 1st two times was outside of my mom and dads house on the river at night and the 3rd time was in the everglades at a place called Holy land management area while bass fishing in chest high Sawgrass. The only reason I wasn't bitten is that the frogs were being eaten when I stepped on the snake. The everglades incident was during the day time, I kept hearing a screaming sound so I followed the noise only to step on the snake that was eating the frog whom was screaming like nothing I've ever heard come from a frog.

Great pics by the way 👌

I love all amphibians and reptiles, always have and always will

Man, I have been bitten by a copperhead before, but I'm just glad we don't have any moccasins around my area, because they can kill!

I just got back from bass fishing earlier today as a matter of fact and saw only one water snake

That's crazy shit though Doc!

my wife laughs at me because I will stop to move a frog off the road, although I will do that for any animal I think is in danger of being ran over.I feel like we are the trespassers.

A few days ago I pulled over to move a Gopher tortoise out of the road in the middle of a neighborhood, and this old guy who was mowing his lawn stopped what he was doing and started clapping.

I saw a cottonmouth snake eating a bullfrog once, so I went up to get a closer inspection, I could hear the frog croaking from inside his stomach, but when the snake saw me approaching he puked out the entire frog and it hopped away. I felt bad for ruining the snakes meal, but the frog seemed happy.
