Monotub early pinning

Hey guys, my monotub just started to pin a lil bit early. it's been 3 days i guess and here are some picture.

do they look healthy to you? it pinned when casing wasn't colonized at all, just 2 days after i cased it.maybe it's bcoz i gave it some fresh air or some shock.anyway it's now pinning everywhere i just worried about primordias' health.
and here is a picture of the air holes, 4 are covered with sponge and two loosely with organic cotton

this is the sponge i used

i'm also not sure if it needs fan/mist and how much fanning and misting it needs

and now, what is it at the bottom? it's growing upwards and starting to appear on other fruits, seems to be something normal.is it? and is it edible?

I need a little more info. How did you case? Did you wait for the substrate to fully colonize and then put on a casing layer?
BTW Most of us stopped doing spawn runs years ago - it seems better to put the substrates into "fruiting conditions" (putting the poly fill in to introduce FAE) right after spawning the tub. No need to keep it taped up until the substrates colonizes.

fuzzy feet, ok, can i take that as a part of the fruit? i waited for full colonization then prepared equal parts peatmoss/verm + %10bv limestone and pasteurized it.then put about 1.5cm on my substrate.i guess i put it to some stress and that's why it pinned early anyway, it's now pinning unevenly and colonizing the casing as well which is ok for me.i just worry about their health, misting, fanning, dryness of substrate and 26c temperature that i can't lower.another thing i noticed was that the gills are exposed very soon, idk when i should go for a print/harvest i try to take it easy and go simple but i can't stop worrying, it's just because idk much and have no experience... :/

Seems like it is pinning exactly as planned. You don't really want full colonization of the casing layer.
Looking really good.

thank you guys.so it's doing pretty fine i guess. can you please explain me about fanning/misting and best time to harvest or pick for printing?
also, here are updated pics from my tub

Early pinning would be before the substrate is fully colonized - which is usually a response to contamination. In your case the substrate is fully colonized.
I don't know how well the sponges will do since you can't really tighten or loosen them to adjust FAR So if I were you I'd pay extra attention to surface condition is all

Fanning is unnecessary, there is no point to doing it. You would mist if the surface looks dry.
In a traditional style monotub the goal is to dial it in so you can just leave it to do it's thing. You start with the bottom polyfill very tight and the top 2 holes stuffed very loosely. You want to see a very fine layer of water droplets across the surface of the substrate that start to dry up immediately in front of the bottom holes - this shows that you are allowing the max FAE you can without starting to dry that layer up. If you start getting pooling of water, you need to increase FAE by loosening the poly. If the surface is too dry, tighten the poly to restrict FAE, and supplement with misting. It's a balancing act.
It's the same idea however you do a tub, if using micropore tape over the holes you add or remove layers. If you are using an unmodified tub, the lid is what you use to provide and adjust FAE.
Since you have a casing layer it will make it hard to see that layer of water droplets, so in your case just mist if the casing layer starts to look too dry.
I would suggest not casing your next tub. Unless you are growing PE it's just adding extra work, you can get great results by just dialing the tubs in properly.

great answer, thank you so much mushpunx. i've been doing it by instinct, misting whenever i felt it needs water.i can't tell anything by the looks of it.peatmoss always look dry to me :| the spray bottle i use gives a really fine mist however it drop 3-5 tiny droplets too.i hope that doesn't make a problem. the sponge i used seems to be working but as you said there is not much i can do to limit fae from bottom holes.pics in first post show how dry around them looks.maybe i should replace them with cotton(idk what polyfil exactly is and the brand doesn't exist where i live).

Polyfill is polyester filling, basically what you find in pillows or stuffed toys. You can buy bags of it in craft stores.
Before I switched to unmodified tubs though, I stopped using poly fill in favor of micropore tape. You can buy this in the bandage isle at drug stores. Buy the 2 inch wide roll if you can get it. It's been a while but I think I would start out with a single layer on the two top holes and a double layer on the bottom holes - this has usually worked out well for me but if I needed to adjust FAE I would add or remove layers of MP tape

I feel like it stalled, no new pins are appearing since 2 days, other pins looking healthy and growing, just a little bit slower than before.am i being impatient? or did i pick too late?

You can harvest those now yes. You could twist and pull but I think it's better to slice at the base with a sharp knife.

Post a photo of the whole tub for us to see.
It sounds like what you have right now (pins + fruits) might be the total of your first flush.
It's a bit of process learning how to dial tubs in but a well dialed in tub can make all the difference when it comes to pinsets.
How did you inoculate your spawn, did you use a wedge from a clean agar plate?

Okay yeah it didn't stall out, that was just your first flush.
I see you switched from the sponges, the polyfill should give you better control over FAE.
You might be able to get a good second flush out of this, just pay attention to the surface conditions (tighten bottom poly + mist if dry, loosen it if the surface is too wet, etc).
Another reason for weak flushes is bacteria in the substrate , which can be difficult to ID sometimes.

thank you, i'll do my best. i harvested some that looked mature enough, taking 2 prints and on all of them there was some kinda stain on cap and some on stalk, which on the stalk i guess is from spores.is it true that falling spores will stop fruiting? cuz the veils break when it's still too young. and how long does it take for second flush to begin?
anyway i'm both happy and sad, the fruits smell and taste amazing and potent, just didn't get as much expected

looks like i got spore stains on my sub, hope it's not contam and doesn't cause a problem.i try to pick the fruits when their cap seems a bit flat cuz their veil break too early when it's too young and small.

only 4 fruits to pick up, waiting for them to grow a lil more, should i dunk the substrate or just misting the casing works? and does it need lighting or i should wait for pins?

The fruits you did get are nice looking!
Second flush I usually just give a heavy misting. Keep up with the lighting yes.
Second flush usually starts in a week or so
