Hey All,
I am totally bummed out after having what looked like a great tub. I think I have waited too long to initiate fae. I only noticed a pin today. You can see it in the pic in the red circle. I have also noticed a small spot of mould!!
Wondering if there is anything I can do to make a save. I hope to have a harvest for by birthday at the end of the month.
two pics here:
Please help.

It's fucked but if it's all you got maybe just let it run its course and you might get a few doses out of it if lucky.

Yeah it does look some what green. Greenish grey.
Mixed grain with bulk sub two weeks ago. Been at 72 to 80F. Only the last couple days peaking at 80. Initially had under tinfoil. Removed tinfoil and allowed natural (indirect) light get in 4 days ago. Just replaced taped off holes with micropore tape tonight.

Also am I right is saying there is no point in adding any casing layer for moisture retention now that it's contaminated? I imagine that would make it harder to watch and to track spread? Also no need to worry about eating this shit?

If it's green mold/trich get that bitch out da grow room. You can either try your luck and let it spawn in a garage or somewhere else, or bury the sub if it doesn't put out anything and hope for some surprise outdoor cubes sometime in the future. Don't sweat it. The mean green catches up to everyone at some point or another.

It's the only one I have so I am going to see if any of these techniques work. Nothing to lose. The question is what to try and in what order?
- H202 spray - dig, salt wound (how far from center to dig?
Should I mist the whole thing with Hydrogen Peroxide 3%?

Cut out the contamed portions of your spawn first. SOMETIMES that can slow it down enough to get you some fruits. About H2O2, I dunno really Only time I ever tried it, it did nothing to the contam and just fucked up my remaining healthy myc. After that, I just started tossing contamed tubs like that.
But I get it. I made the same mistake when I started. I went with two big tubs and put all my eggs in one basket (in two baskets actually). Both developed trich and I had to ditch em both. Heartbreaking. Just take it as a lesson to always fruit iffy spawn to a shoebox on their own or just toss the jar.

Yeah I noticed a tiny bit of green on the top of one of the spawn bags. Some posters thought it was just bruising. I am thinking maybe not.
I just cut it out and salted. h202 one spray before salting.
Here is a close up of the cutout.

Did not cut much. Was way harder than I expected. Used a spoon but should have used a knife. fuck

I’d put that whole thing outside and try to keep it moist.

Outdoor patch FTW if you can. Just a couple inches down. Contam tubs can kick out huge amounts when buried.

When I was growing during undergrad I buried a sub in the woods on campus. After a year or so it put out a surprising amount so I'd randomly just duck in the woods after a good rain and see if I couldn't find some fruits. I was really surprised how much that shit put out after burying it

Yeah I'd clone that pin on a dish too. Might have some resilience in its genetics.

2 weeks since making the tub is a normal time to see pins, but yeah the green might take over aggressively before they come in, since you removed it you should get some fruit
