Psilocybe mexicana?

Habitat: I found some mushrooms growing in my garden that look like a Psilocybe mexicana. Growing out of soil with mulch and organic fertilizer. I'm located in pinellas county, FL. They popped up after a couple damp, rainy days.
Gills: The gills are a whiteish color on the younger specimens and turn to a dark brown on the older ones. They are attached at the base of the stipe to the edge of the cap. They are all relatively straight and they all terminate at the stipe.
Stem: Most of the stems grow to about 4" in length and whiteish in color. They are relatively thin and fragile, possibly hollow. There are some shorter ones with a bit thicker, sturdier stem.
Cap: The caps are brown. There is some variation in color. Some are a light brown, while others are darker brown and get darker around the rim. Some have visible lines running along the radius. They are roughly 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter. They are convex/conical with a brown umbro/ dot on the tip. Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Spore print color: Very very dark brown.
Bruising: No bruising on on the ones that I have picked. I saw one specimen with a damaged stem that looked ever so faintly blue. I'm not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me though.
Other information: Smells earthy. I tasted a very small portion of the stem (I know, I know) and it was mostly flavorless with a faint earthy/traditional mushroom taste.

You have two different species here, none of them are Psilocybe mexicana.
Pictures 1-4 and 6 are a Conocybe species, picture 5 is likely a Parasola species.
As far as I know, the closest you can come to P. mexicana in Florida is P. tampanensis, which is a rare species.
You should rather try to find Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescens, which are common in your region.
Welcome to the Shroomery.

Are the psychoactive? Or at the least edible?

I don't think they are psychoactive or edible. You could check the "foot" (the extreme bottom of the stem) for bluing, which could prove me wrong.

The mushrooms in your pictures are toxic to poisonous. do not consume!!!
as already stated, look for Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescens, they are both fruiting now.
