Whatcha doin staying up all night?
    #2672069 - 05/13/04 01:39 AM (19 years, 11 months ago)

Just wondering why anyone who's reading this isn't asleep.
Me... I'm 3d-modelling the inside of a Buddhist zendo, project's due at 8 am.... it's a long, boring, technical, and tedious process.
How about you?

Insomnia?
Doin Work?
On drugs?
Addicted to the Shroomery?

I work alot of nights and I'm an insomniac. I wish I had a better reason. Like I was frying balls, or some chick was keeping me up all night, but no. I can't sleep.

The only cool thing about being up at night is that the streets are empty and the rest of the world is assleep.

Yeah, I lived in a small sub-suburban (:tongue2:) town growing up and loved wandering the desolate streets at 3 am... it was so quiet and nice out.  Not so in the city

I think I partially stay awake at night because of anxiety. Most bad things happen at night, and I want to be awake so that I can be "prepared" for them, in case they happen.

Plus, I just love writing at night.

I dunno. Hollywood is like that at 3 am for the most part, believe it or not.

I always stay up till like 3am and sleep till 12pm... it is just how my sleep cycle goes, and for some reason it is easier then going to sleep at 11pm till 8am for me

its only 1:13 over here. Im am on drugs acid. Not very strong dose, but as you can tell from this speech, brain-mechanisms altering.

hey ellemyshaaded! Writing at night is the best!! No distractions, pure silence, just you and the pen. Plus I find that my thoughts are most lucid during the night time so they flows much easier to the paper.

fuck this keyboard is confusing me?!?!?!

I'm an insomniac myself. I think I just worry to damb much. I can't get anything out of my head. Thoughts, thoughts, and more thoughts...I overanalize so much my brain is turning to jello. So i'm just messing with my computer until I get tired enough to sleep. I'll sleep for an hour, then I'll probably wake up and do this all over again.

No, I've never done that before. A friend was going to teach me but we haven't gotten around to it yet. He's says it's helpful. I just don't know how to do it. Not only that. My home is never quite enough. Don't I need a peaceful surrounding?

Dave Brubeck Quartet, check some out

they have some classics that you may or may not know, like Take Five, In Your Own Sweet Way, Blue Rondo A La Turk, etc

try some of those out

Maybe it's depression. You should ask a doctor.
