The characteristics of different strains * 1
    #26720898 - 06/05/20 04:42 AM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Hi, I'd like to learn more if there are any differences in the characteristics in the type of trip between different strains of cubes such as in visuals, head, body, potency, most loving, etc.  And if so, please elaborate like more colors, cartoony, breathing, rivers, geometries, etc...

Also, is there much difference with the same strain, but different vendors?

Or is it all pretty much the same between different strains?  Does anyone find if you consume anything else with the mushrooms having a significant effect like orange juice, chocolate, harmalas, etc?  And if so, please describe in detail.  Thanks!!

Check psilocybinjunkie's Journal Entries. He did an awesome write up on differences in strains.

The differences can be sorta tough to identify but with enough trips, you will notice the differences quite quicky between strains.

Currently, my favorite strains are Mazatepeca and Africa Transkei. So wonderful. :mushroom2:

Thanks, do you have any idea what causes these differences between the strains?  I'm aware of the two main compounds in cubensis, but there seems to be quite a bit of variety in the experiences.

Also do you agree with psilocybinjunkie description of Mazatepeca being strongly spiritual and south african transkei being strongly colorful?

I find both Strong Spiritual, African Tranksei more so in my experience. Cant comment on the "colorful" part, thats pretty subjective.

Its to my understanding that theres more alkoloids than the typical Psilocybin, Psilocin and Baeocyin. I believe theres quite a bit more. Similar to have marijuana has different cannibanoids, I believe shrooms have their own collection of alkoloids that add "flavor" to the experience.

If u really wanna feel the difference in shrooms, try different species like Pan cyans or Ps stunztii. Much bigger differences in effects than cubenis strains.

Would you be able to elaborate on the particular experiences of those species or be able to point me in the direction of another journal entry outlining those effects?

Pan cyan was much more like acid than cubes for me.

As far as visuals cubes normally make things breathe or flow but pans was like altering reality. I’d feel almost sober but then the light coming under my door from the hall would start spreading up the wall until I was in a bubble of light. Or the grout in the tile floor would suddenly sink into the ground and the tiles would fuse into one piece.

Again while feeling mostly sober. Cubes have a much stronger trippy mind feeling for me.
