No visible stem - Just Cap

Soooooo,
There seems to be a cap sitting on the sub not doing anything. All his brothers and sisters are growing and I've already picked some beauts......
Can anyone explain this? It's right in the centre with the lil cluster.

Weird stuff happens, often due to genetics. I've had only caps, only stems, upside down shrooms (cap on sub, stem growing upwards), inside out caps, doble shrooms (connected cap to cap with the top one growing upside down) etc etc.
Nothing to worry about.

Oh wow nice variants. I wonder if mutations happen due to excessive cloning vendor side? Or is this just a similar issue the animal kingdom faces. Thank you!

Crazy isn't it. It's like a baby growing with no body in my eyes..... very weird but insightful event.
Thank you =) the gif was a must, I think I had it on my 1st account here as well but soon had to abandon that when I was bombarded with abuse from 'The Pub' section of the forum
Cheers

I think mushrooms (maybe cubes especially?) just do this every once in a while. So many potential genetic arrangements, they're bound to mutate every once in a while.
Also I doubt my cultures have ever seen a vendor, working from spores i got off Free Spore Ring 10 years ago. Afaik that site was just regular home growers sending in prints for the guy who owned it to distribute.

Got to love those mutants... I love the ones that grow upside down on top of the other. Bad genetic or possible from your cleaning supplies used can cause these mutations.
