Would really love to see the underside, and the base of the mushroom, I suspect it's an Amanita growing from the soil but pushing up through the dung. But I need more photos

I have seen Amanit's do exactly this, as well as other mushrooms, making them appear to be growing from dung.

I’m going to go back and pull that thing. It does seem right that it would be pushing through from the soil to me. That makes more sense

You wouldn't believe all the potentially deadly or poisonous mushrooms that I've found growing up through the dung before!

Yes!
Dig it out carefully, we need to see the entire mushroom, even if part of it goes underground.

I've only seen it twice, A.phalloides and an Inocybe sp. I found some edibles growing through the dung before too, Cantharellus cinnabarinus

So are we taking bets? I still think it's Amanita sp. You going with Coprinoid Seph?

Dude, what the heck, me too! I have found Chants growing up through them, and several different potentially deadly Amanita's before.

Nah, After Looking Further I Believe It Is An Amanita Sp As Well. The Stem Has A Yellowish Tint To It & Most Coprinoids Have A White Stem. Also, The Color Of The Cap Is Off For Most Coprinoids.

One Of The Most Dangerous "Myth/False Belief" That Noobs Hear Is "Any Mushroom Found Growing From Dung, Is An Active Sp"
That Is 1,000,000,000,000 Miles From The Truth.
I've Seen Plenty Of Toxic Mushrooms That Appear To Be Growing From Dung, But Actually Are Growing From The Grass. It Just So Happens A Cow Took A Dump In That Spot.
I've Seen Plenty Of Toxic Mushrooms That Appear To Be Growing From Dung In A Compost Pile, But Actually Are Growing From The Hay/Straw.

The Caps Is Really Just A Habit, I Started Doing It Awhile Back, & Now It Just Feels Weird Not To Do It. Also, Im On Mobile So It's Really Easy.
I Can Read It Perfectly Lol, But I Might Stop Doing It Since Others Find It Hard To Read.
