Really considering moving to Colorado 1

So, my girl and I have been having it a little rough lately. We’ve both lived in Tennessee our whole lives and feel that it would be beneficial to move away for a little while. Colorado seems like my kinda place and I’ve considered moving out there for a while. Anyone have any reasons why I shouldn’t? Should? Any good places to start fresh? We’re used to a rural setting and I’d like to keep it that way as much as possible. We were looking at places around Fort Collins but I’m pretty much cool with wherever.

somebody answer the man
I wish I could add more, but I've only driven through Colorado. Beautiful obviously.
Tell ya what, this Glenwood Springs town (Colorado) looks pretty freaking cool. I wanna go there and hang out for a few days sometime.
Also if you're in Fort Collins you're only a 7 hour drive from one of the most gorgeous places on earth. Jackson Hole/Grand Teton National Park/Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

Cool thanks Trex. I’ll check all those places out too. And yeah I figured it probably was. I wouldn’t want to live there but definitely want to visit.

I visited Colorado last year for Shpongle at Red Rocks. It was incredible. Colorado is a special place. I wouldnt mind living there.
Theres two things to consider thou.....the elevation is high up so you need to adjust to mountain life. Also, the winters are snowy and cold as fuck (again, the elevation), so be prepared for cold winters.
Other than that, dooooo iiiiiitttt.

A couple family members are pretty serious about moving to steamboat springs. Apparently it made a good impression on them. Why Colorado? You looking for mountains, desert?

Mountains, weed, Colorado Bluebird Sky. All of it. It just seems like the right place to go. And if I want to go to any of the other places I’ve considered then I’ll be right there near them because in the end I’m just wanting to head west. But Colorado seems like the best place to start. Anybody out there that’d wanna meet up and chill or anything when we decide to do this. We’ll definitely be looking for friends. I like pretty much everybody and my girl is a sweetheart.

String Cheese reference?
Lived all over Colorado. Don't currently, but probably will move back sometime down the road. Fort Collins is a cool town, lived there for 3 years or so. Don't expect it to be too rural by any means though, but I'd recommend setting up there either way. Close to Rocky Mountain National Park, about an hour or two from Denver and other stuff to the south. It's a good spot.

This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been in my life I’d say

These pictures don’t come close to capturing the pure magnificence of this place but they are cool to look at
There’s so many different parts of the state I’ve never even seen yet, I also need to check out all the other mountain states across the West but these mountains just feel like home to me now
I live in one of the most rural parts of the state, it’s hard to find jobs out here and access to modern amenities is pretty much nonexistent, the closest hospital is an hour in either direction so there’s that to take into consideration if you do decide to move way out there

Yeah it was a STI reference lol didnt expect someone to catch it so quickly but yeah man I think we might. That seems to be where shed like to go and as long as I’m with her I don’t care where I’m at.
@OhMrJohnson: that is absolutely gorgeous. I love the mountains. I’m about 45 minutes from the Smokies. It’s nice but I know it doesn’t compare to any of the mountains out there. I want to be there so bad now!

Best of luck to you. I hear it's cool. A lot of California's have been moving there in recent years which may transform how cool it is. Better or worse. The west is rad though. Every inch is beautiful. Arizona is my fav and it's a bit less of a hot spot for hipsters. Maybe plan a road trip to telluride for the shroom fest and get a feel for the area.

It's expensive in most areas but definitely a good place to invest in because it's growing so fast.
It's my dream to live in colorado. Tried to do it homeless a few times and failed because it's too expensive and hard with a dog. And my mental problems. Finally working on those now though. I hope to be out there soon!

You want a cool spot in the west check out Bisbee AZ. I've tried a few times to get into that town. It's hard but if you get in your golden. A cool place to squat is slab city in California. It's an unofficial completely off the grid encampment that I always assumed was comprised of shroomerites.

Anywhere around Greeley is cheap. Look at the smaller towns like Windsor or Eaton for places.
--------------------
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
