introducing myself
UK Staffordshire based cluster headache patient (ex), 42 y/o. Found myself in this community by accident last summer when a pal offered me a little bag of dried and it instantly cured 15 years of chronic head pain. Sadly pal is no longer available so here I am.
I'll be picking when the time comes and will probably need a little guidance down the line, and have ordered some precursor kit while I research more on how to cultivate
I'm led to believe there are some good sites nearby but I've already spent hours of my life on google maps scanning around planning routes for "dog walks" in the autumn.
Anyway thats me, I dont know anyone so a generic hello to all.

You came to the right place.
If you do some studying up you can be doing your first picking in 1-2 months, as in Grow Your Own.

Welcome to the forum mate, it'll be a couple of months before the shrooms show up and your area should be ripe for picking. Keep an eye out for the Official UK Liberty cap 2020 thread in the hunting forum https://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/3 and thats when you know its time to get out there

While trawling the farcebook groups I had spotted a suggestion that if this rain keeps up a while and then we get some more sun, we might see a freak flush a little early this year since the heat has already caused a lot of grass root rot. One guy had said he had previously picked in June-July. That really would be handy to fill a gap while my bags colonise. I can hope.

In all honesty it was totally random and as dissociative as possible to my identity. I really don't like chips (french fries)

Not so keen, but I will say, a boiled egg in the morning is hard to beat

I'm not keen on them either, BUT it is possible to have a good/satisfying one. They do exist
Ps. Welcome to shroomery!

How about a half fried / half sunny side up egg...on buttered toast...with a little bit of melted cheese & some hot sauce on top?
