I will. It's just that most stores other than grocery stores and pharmacies are closed right now with COVID. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't slants typically made from later transfers and not germ plates?

Typically yes, but if you're going to transfer out on the first transfer, you might as well pull one with it just in case, then if you want you could clone your best from that batch and slant later transfers of your prefer characteristics. Bunch of ways to go about and none that are wrong per-se, just depends on your end goals.
If we could send you some slant junk we would bro

Appreciate it. I've got a lot of spores for now and I'm focused on getting clean agar to go into my first grains and make some shoeboxes. Alli vamos

All hood, man. Krombip is trying to do the same thing. Basically building his library and then going ham on making 4 shoebox shotguns with about 24L of sub/spawn total. His last bin was only 20L total but still produced over 260g dry.
Need anymore help feel free to DM, bro. Good to have friends across the globe

So I learned why people say take a smaaaaall sample for transfers. Mine were on the biggish size, a morbidly obese rice grain if you will, and the myc has just been sitting and eating the transfer wedge for the best three days

Nice, black plates always look good.
The main reason I started with tiny transfers is it cleans the culture up much faster. It’s always nice to have a uniform circle by t2.

Man, I swabbed like 7 species to agar and got no germination, just tons of contams.
They were all wild prints though. Dampened the swab with petri condensation before swabbing, prints are only like 2-3 years old, idk what the deal is. All the blank plates I poured in that batch are still clean, and I've had good success rates lately besides this.

I'm 0/1 on swabbing but I have 100% success with ejaculating a spore syringe all over my plate like a frisky teenager

Honestly, that the only way he does his anymore. He don't trust swabs, and touching anything to the plate, just seems like adding new ways to contam it, dammit.
If the syringe is dirty, oh well, we expect as much, but having to handle a syringe, while holding a flamed loop and then open the plate and scrape something across the agar sounds back-asswards to me, man.
He knows it works, but why the extra risk, when all you want is spore water on agar

So you don't want to use old wild prints. Atleast I've never had luck with them. Ideally you should have cultivated them indoor while the prints were fresher then print them to store the prints. I'm not saying this is possible every time but it's best. The reason being old spores take longer to hydrate and germ. Bacteria and mold doesn't. So if you have a old print that is "wild" it's gets harder and harder to get clean growth before bad stuff takes over. I'm not saying it's impossible at this point but unless they are super rare it's probably way more work than it's worth.

This maz plate is a t2 from a plate pin, it was transferred from once. There wasn't this crazy rhiso growth on the plate, so why not grab another couple plates.
