I think I'll stick to cutting out sweets and junk food and see what happens, lord knows I need to do that anyway.
The workouts so far are fascinating, I googled the Prison workout and got a few things from there to put something together.
I want to train solo like my favorite character Ryu in Street Fighter. I admire that stoic training life and wanted to emulate that in some respect.

Yes. If you're still eating shit then you definitely want to address that first and foremost before you get down to the minutiae.
Eating well is 85% of the battle.
Never forget that.

I honestly thought that was just talk but reading up on it all showed me how wrong I was. It doesn't matter how hard you work if you still eat like shit.
The trouble is getting over my deeply ingrained habits, and not drinking soda like it's water. But it should be fun in a masochistic sort of way.

The trick I used to get over soda was to replace it with carbonated water. It feels & tastes almost exactly like soda does - minus soda’s super sweet aftertaste. Everyone in my fam pretty much used the same method to break their soda habits. It worked so well it might as well be cheating.

It's worth it. I've been eating like an angel for the better part of ten years now. Can't image even wanting soda or sweets any more, although the odd burger is nice.
You just need to condition yourself to move away from those habits. It's all in the mind. Discipline is key!!
I certainly wouldn't have been able to get a physique like this without it:

Kind of reminds me of Ryu in Street Fighter, a character I have admired (said I know but it bears repeating). Discipline and focus and all that while struggling with a darkness within. He honestly inspired me to start, among other anime characters like Joe from Megalobox (sorry for the quoting of anime, probably sounds like Greek to everyone else).
On a side note those are cool tattoos.
EDIT - Just taking the picture out as I specifically asked for it not to be quoted.

Search on YouTube for street workouts to get some ideas. Go find a park with playground equipment and use your imagination to find ways to exercise on that equipment. ***Be safe and don't be stupid and try to do something you're not comfortable doing***
Search YouTube for Adam Raw for inspiration, dude is a beast, he also has some videos on nutrition - warrior snacks.

Eating is super important. There was a time I was working out at least 4, usually 5 times a week for 2 hours at a time. I was in great shape, but fatter than I am now because I drank coffee with sugar and had cookies every day.
Shit, I didn't get to see JSB's abs now

Oh I forgot to mention about frequency and rest days? Should I do it every other day or is every day going to be fine?

When you're starting out, every other day is fine. Mostly because you'll be pretty sore the first couple of weeks, after that you really only need rest days if you're going really intense. You'll know because you're sore.

Pick a diet. Pick a weekly routine. Weigh in on day one. Wait at least four weeks to weigh again. The hardest part is sticking to that first month. Give yourself no excuse to drop off that regiment. The end of week 4 will be a massive boost to your motivation and you wont even want to stop. Dont cheat by weighing early. I went from 280 to 165 doing this. Lol I'm 5'10 to put that into perspective. NO SUGAR OR CARBS and it will go allot faster and better for you. I'd work out 5 times a week Monday cardio + arms and chest Tues long walk/jog Wed cardio + core (front back) Thurs long walk/jog Friday cardio + leg groups Sat/Sunday rest
That's what got me to 165 in about 1 years time.

Ok, sounds reasonable.
What about sleep? I'm ashamed to say I consistently go to bed at 2 am.
