oh and in guitar center last weekend someone asked me to join their band!

I've been playing for a little over 5 years now. My favorite Zeppelin song to play is the Rain Song, but I have to get it into an alternate tuning for that, so it can be somewhat of a pain, but it's worth it.

Alternate tunings are fun. But tedious sometimes...

I recently bought Led Zeppelin III and I'm quite fond of it.

He qualifies as one of the first guitar gods.

On his negative side, he is a legendary cheapskate. He has been known to show up at parties and bring his own doggy bag so he can take extra food home with him. From what I hear, the main reason he puts out another album is that he starts running short of money for his heroin habit.

On the other hand, his work in the early and mid '60s is underrated. There are estimates that he was the studio guitar player on most of everything recorded in the big London studios then. He can be heard on lots of the early recordings of the Rolling Stones, the Who, Donovan, the Kinks, and lots of other bands.

I started playing guitar (partially due to stuff he was doing then) a bit over 30 years ago. My favorite one for playing is the Lemon Song.

Jimmy Page is one of the best guitar players of all time!

"Zep II"and "Houses of the Holy" are two of my all time favorites

Right on.  Jimmy Page is the man.  He was the main reason I started playing guitar 2 and half years ago.

I love Led Zep 1.  And after hearing stairway to heaven numerous times, I vowed to learn it on guitar.  It is by no means a beginner song(unless you want to massacre it like many others out there).  So for over 10 months I concentrated on that song only.  It sounded horrible all the time, was frustrating and actually resulted in me smashing a guitar once....but after 10 months I could play the song to perfection.  I still play the song once every day, but I have long since moved on to many more things.  I like variety.  I have learned blues, classical, rock, metal shredding, etc.  People tell me my improvisation has a very unique style.

But I wouldn't have started playing guitar if it wasn't for jimmy. .  My other favourite songs to play from led zep has got to be...

babe i'm gonna leave you
black dog
going to california

Some bad news related to guitar...

I have run into severe financial problems and have had to sell all my equipment for disgustingly low prices(I needed to get the money fast or I would lose my home).  Had to sell off my gibson sg, peavey amp, a cheaper fender guitar and some old vintage fender that a chick gave me.  I am now stuck with a very cheap classical guitar

But hey...it's just opening me up to another style and at least I can keep playing in some form
