Using a ape swab to rub on 6 plates back to back. Then plan on storing it again in the swab pack. Any issues with this technique?

I'd say if it's clean no problem, but if it isn't clean then you'll have 6 contaminated plates... But transferring them to new plates will clean em up also

I’m curious to hear what experienced people say with regard to this. I would think the swab picks up nutrient rich agar when streaking and is not advisable for later use.

And wouldn't something similar happen if you use a print? Flame loop, cool loop in receiving plate, dab print?

Not really, a print isn't absorbent like the swab is. It will dry out quickly.

I'm not a swab expert but they are fine after streaking. Never ever had a contaminate grow on my swab. My last swab lasted around 10 plates or so, it was a dirty ass swab so I had to start from spore a bunch of times before I got anything decent to work with. Last time I used it I had to resort to pulling a tuft of cotton off with sterile tweezers to get it to germ.
Don't worry about putting it right back in the package after use as long as you didn't drop it on the ground or anything, but even then I'd still put it back til later
Agar is designed to clean and store cultures so who cares if it's dirty, within reason.
