Presto 16qt and Glass Cooktop or Turkey Fryer?

First post - long time coming!
I've been reading some conflicting information about using a Pressure Cooker on a glass cooktop. Some sources say it's no problem at all. Other sources claim the glass cooktop will crack from the heat generated by the pressure. Still, other sources say a fully loaded pressure cooker with jars/media/water will be too much weight (this is the least of my concerns considering the cast iron dutch oven i use.)
In an effort to eliminate the risk, I purchased a cheapo hot plate from the local big box - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Single-Burner/812501747 It was 1100 watts, I spent nearly an hour waiting for a boil that never came. I'm considering this one junk and returning.
First question - Does anyone have first hand experience with a cheap single burner? What wattage should be considered at a minimum?
Second question - I'm contemplating just getting a turkey fryer stand and running it on low so as to not warp the aluminum. Any experience here, i've seen some guys saying they run a 23qt on propane fryer stand, but not sure if they are constructed the same as the 16qt or if the 16qt will hold up to the heat on low.
Thanks!

Thanks for the warm welcome! In the meantime, I've purchased a turkey fryer stand just in case. Found one cheap online. I'm going to give it a try this afternoon and see if I can keep the flames low enough to not overheat the PC.
It would make my life muuuucccch easier if I could do it safely on the cooktop though!

I would check with the manufacturer of your stove top. It’s a common thing that they should know the answer too. Whether or not the range can handle pressure cookers, temps, weight etc.
As far as the hot plate you used I’ve read someone on here saying they were waiting mad hours to get to a boil. Also I remember reading several dire warnings about not using a serious propane burner with pressure cookers.
Anything over 12,000 btu I think is too much. There is a thicker bottom plate on the PC as well and if the flames are hitting outside of that and heating the thinner metal directly it will start to bulge out, and eventually pop in a scary explosion worst case, leave you with a wobbly PC best case.
Just make sure you read up about these factors because I don’t remember everything accurately, just that there is possible danger.

Welcome to the forum.
I use my 23 qt presto on a glass top all the time (fully loaded with 10 jars). I also cook with some big heavy dutch ovens that weigh far more when fully loaded without any issues.
The only thing that I recommend watching out for is making sure that you are using one of the large burners if your stove has various sizes. I have seen warnings about the glass surface outside of the burner circle being less resistant to high temperatures than the burner circle (on some cook tops). But the burner circle is certainly able to go to much higher temperatures than your PC can reach without damage.
The bottom surface of the PC should not extend beyond edge of the burner circle. The curve of mine just goes past the burner but the flat contact surface is just within the ring.
The warning instructions on my presto specifically warn against using using them on propane burners. As RC said, the heat traveling up the sides where the metal is thinner is dangerous. Also, the possibility of uneven heating can warp the bottom cook surface.
Don't take my word as gospel. Fact check everything that you can, since it is your stuff on the line. But I am perfectly comfortable using my PC on my glass cook top.

For anyone who's still curious... Whirlpool / Schott Ceran / Ikea Glass Cooktops say it's ok to use a canner on the glass.

Hope this helps someone!
