Antillarum and panaeolus cyanescens?
    #26708389 - 05/31/20 03:02 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

I just picked those two mushrooms on the exact same cow dung. The small one to the right bruised blue right away the one to the left has a darker stem and is also bigger but doesn't turn blue after bruising (turns black). Is it possible an antillarum growing right next to the panaeolus cyanescens or a both infact panaeolus cyanescens. Thank you

The 2nd picture shows the mushroom before I picked it. Maybe it helps identifying, Pls note the white dots on the stem. Thank you

I should add that the big one to the left bruised to the blackish side and the stem was "white powdered" when I picked it. Is it normal the bigger the panaeouls cyanscens is the darker the bruise even black?

Thx for ur reply never the less. I'm curious to know how an antillarum would look like when it dries/bruises. I have tried google it without luck

Both Mushrooms In Pic #1 Are Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens, I Can See Bluish/Greenish Bruising On Both.

In Pic #2 I Count 6 Mushrooms Growing On The Patty That Look To Be Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens, Need Pics Of The Ones Not Already Pictured.

It Is Possible These Are Another Active Panaeolus Sp In The (Copelandia) Group, Need A General Location.

The Mushrooms Growing On The Branch In Pic #2 Look To Be An Auricularia Sp

No My Friend, The Bell Shape Is Common But Most Panaeolus Sp Range From Conical, Bell Shaped, Or Convex.

However, I've Seen Pan. Cyans, Pan. Paps, Pan. Ants, Pan. Cincts, & Pan. Foes Go From Convex To Nearly Flat As They Mature

Those Both Look To Be Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens, Make Sure They Bruise Bluish/Greenish Where Injured/Damaged
