Humidity
    #26713150 - 06/02/20 06:40 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

Is this part of it necessary? I have gone to bulk and often lose humidity due to a lack of it, will allowing more provide more pins/clusters or should I just mist and fan more often? My grows are done in shoeboxes/monotubs.

You buzzin buddy? :doublejointed:

An oddly put together question, no offense.

Humidity is important but not the end all. For cubes anyway. They like and require fresh air (Though they’re small so need much less than us to be happy) so you want to give them as much air as possible without them drying out.

If you’re home all day and have decent relative humidity you could do all open air grows and just mist often. But with tubs and stuff they create their own humidity because of the water in the substrate that’s evaporating throughout the day. You just try to figure out the balance between keeping some humidity while still letting in new air.

If your surface is too dry you’ll get more side and bottom pins. So in a way humidity can help with a pin set but mostly that’s genetics once you have surface conditions down.

Naw not buzzing at all just a serious question, and no worries no offense taken, it’s the internet. I gradually lose humidity for some reason, must have something to do with the desert climate, our air is usually dry and it’s summer time so it stays hot unless I keep the ac on. I have humidity while it’s first colonizing as I do not open the lid until I see full colonization. But it seems as the pins for the humidity leaves. I was just curious are my grows not as bountiful due to lack of humidity. Don’t get me wrong I get some good harvest but I was wondering if they could be better so I’m just asking for tips. I’m a student not a teacher at all so I’m just trying to learn as much as possible.

Do you mean you just don’t see much condensation on the walls of the tub once you’re fruiting?

Aka grows in desert from what I’ve gathered and he does aiiight. Maybe see what he does. What kind of holes do you have in your tubs? How do you rock the shoe box lids and are you prepping bulk sub extra dry or anything?

I got two in holes about 6 of them. I did these monotubs before I ever started off of seeing one guys video on YouTube. And I’ll have to check him out and nope I’m using Bods tek when it comes to making the sub. The shoe boxes are inside the larger tubs. Except I do have one actual monotub that was s2b without a shoebox and that one did fairly well I just hardly ever saw condensation on the walls and lid after I started fanning and misting.
