Hey guys, so I've become quite good at easily identifying mushrooms like subaeruginosas. I found one mushroom before that I was sure looked like a sub, everything about it looked right however once it dried it didnt look like the rest.

It looks exactly like the rest of the mushrooms except for the gills which are bright yellow as opposed to the brown colour every other mushrooms gets on its gills when dried. It has blueing on the gills thought which leads me to think its nothing but I figured Id just check to be safe. Thanks guys!

I cant tell from just the photo alone, but any mushroom has a very small chance to be sterile and not produce the spores that cause the dark colored gills. I have found many sterile specimens of several different species of mushroom.

If it is bruising blue and otherwise was picked from the same patch and looks the same it is likely P.subaeruginosa

Looks like a sterile sub. Not uncommon for subs to produce sterile fruit bodies. But as Bio said, can't id it from that photo alone.
