Hello everyone. Im having trouble with my oyster blocks choosing to fruit randonly inside of the bags instead of through the holes i cut for them. I grow blue and pink oysters, the pinks always fruit exactly where i want them to, but the blues fruit very randomly. I grow them both in filter patch bags using the masters mix. Any clues what might be wrong?
Or you are not cutting the bag in a place where the bag is tight against the sub. I cut on the bottom of the bag where the bag is tight against the sub. When you cut the bag use as much of the blade as you can. Not just the tip. So as not to lift the bag. Doing it this way will cause only the small slice to be exposed to fresh air thus only where you slice the bag will fruit. Any air that gets in the bag you may get fruits. So best to avoid getting air in the bag or you will get fruits in the bag.
