Yeah my mom was talking literally two days ago about how she was thinking about getting tested. Now she's not going through with it because after that one bad day it just rapidly went away and got better.
Might've been nothing, might've been something . Kind of my feelings about the way I felt last week.

I got lambasted here the last time I said this but... it's the truth.
I think they do far better burgers in Australia.

Literally seen or heard nothing from the news or radio about covid the last few days. Did it go away. Maybe it doesn't like crowds. Shouldn't these protests be condemned because covid is the most dangerous part of them?

No one's going to do the right thing and say the protests can wait because the biggest picture is covid right now and everyone needs to do the right thing and distance and stay home and avoid unnecessary gathering.
In retrospect what was wrong with the protests for covid restrictions in the first place then? And how come none of those people's guns got accidentally discharge.
This shit is getting so inconsistent I'm going to need to get a law and order ™ cork board and some string.

Im waiting until they finally pin the tail on the donkey with transmission before I commit it to memory. Gotta get 2+ weeks in a row of consistency in how they say it does or doesn't get transmitted

I don't think most people had a problem with the outdoor reopen protests because of them getting/being infected (though I'm sure many did), it seemed like most peoples' issue was that they were protesting to open up despite the obvious health consequences. I think the one that took the most heat was the people in the cars who blocked an ER Ambulance entrance, though the guys who felt the need to bring guns was pretty dumb too.
I'd guess that there will be an increase after these protests. From the research it looks like two people outdoors, both with masks, is pretty benign. Huge swaths of people standing close together, many unmasked and yelling? Probably not good. I stayed out of the crowd due to the virus. Who knows though. Maybe the fact that we're on the other side of the curve in most places will help a little.

Blocking an entire freeway definitely doesn't hurt ER transit times.

Are we really on the other side of the curve, though? The case charts look more like a breadknife than a hill. There's some spikes of 30k+ cases in one day, but for the most part, it hasn't changed much from about 20k-28k per day.

My state has been one of the ones that has been reopening really slowly, in phases, county by county, and we're continuing to trend down pretty dramatically. I don't think anyone has hit 'green' yet - there are some counties with more cows then people that are coming close. Mask wearing is widespread indoors, and I have not seen a single business that doesn't have a policy requiring that people wear masks.
I think unfortunately things are really just ramping up elsewhere, though I know that the protests are gonna make cases tick up in states that are trending down too.
